"You had to tell me last minute that your mum was coming?" You scold Tom, Harrison laughing at your reaction.

You'd been sitting with Harrison when Tom came in straight from work to tell you that his mum was arriving, quite literally pulling into the driveway with Paddy and god knows who else. Your eyes had widened and breathing got caught in your throat before your hands felt clammy at the thought of meeting his mother.

He'd promised that she was lovely, but Technically Nikki was your mother in law and while you were slowly starting to accept that, you couldn't help but become riddled with nerves. Wondering if, in fact, she was as harsh as Dom.

"Of course, sweet pea. Couldn't have you panicking and running out on me could we?" He grinned from ear to ear, humour taking over and a knock at the door made Harrison move from his place, giving Tom a pat on the back and you a quick wink.

"Goodluck yeah." He said. "Don't let Nikki smother her, Thomas"

Tom groaned. "Shut the fuck up, Haz. I'll see you tomorrow yeah?" Harrison nodded, opening the door and leaving. You secretly wanted to run after him, beg him to take you with him but Tom had hawkeyes.

"Fucking asshole" you grumble, folding your arms over your chest.

"Watch that mouth, princess" The threat was empty, a mere joke that made your cheeks heat up but Tom finds himself staring at the not-near fading mark on your neck. Signifying the time you two spent together yesterday.

Running his fingers over the blemish, you shuddered, swatting his hand away. "Might want to cover that little number up. Don't want my mother to know what we do behind closed doors"

You hurriedly tried to cover the mark, forgetting all about the fact that Tom had wanted to show his men just who's girl you were yesterday.

"God I hate you" Your voice is a little higher than usual and if anyone else spoke the words you had mere seconds ago they would've been in his bad books, on his hit list but you-, the words sounded like music to his ears.

You were practically skin to skin, Toms cocky grin enough to make your heart rate pick up. "Once again, Watch that mouth"

Before Tom could kiss you, who you assumed was Nikki walked in followed by three boys. Two that you recognised to be Sam and Harry and the littlest, Paddy.

Tom was simply a spitting image of Nikki, and you couldn't help but giggle when she pulled her eldest son into her arms, Tom groaning softly before muttering a small 'hi mum'. The two middle children stood back, arms crossed as they watched the scene unfold. You watched too, but instead of a scowl, you wore a small smile, watching as Tom interacted with the two members of his family.

He hugged his mum tightly, asking about how she was if she had any new information etc before pulling away. Paddy dived straight into his older brothers welcoming arms. Tom was ready for it, arms stretched wide and a genuine smile on his features.

"I missed you, bud," He said, pulling away from the hug to see just how much the youngest brother had grown. Almost completely forgetting that Sam and Harry were in the room.

Paddy was almost jumping up and down. "I missed you too but Sam and Harry were telling me that I was being stupid" He shrugged, not letting the two moodier boys ruin his mood.

Tom moved closer to Paddy, stopping next to his ear and whispering a small, "Sam and Harry are stupid" making Paddy giggle and Nikki gently smack the two boys over the head, laughing herself.

It was already obvious that Tom was a family man, even if he tried to keep that fact hidden. He cared about his mother and he adored Paddy, the two of them obviously had a connection and Nikki seemed to love her son despite his business. She's married to the previous boss you div, of course, she doesn't mind the business.
