Until We Meet Again (Sirius x OFC)

Part 2 - Chapter 20: Reunion of the Order

"Can you help me with the cufflinks, my darling?" asked Sirius, standing in front of the mirror.

"You're rather dressing up today, aren't you?" I walked over and stood in front of him. He handed me the cufflinks, and I helped him, suppressing a smile.

"Well, I want to make a good impression. It's the first full Order Meeting, most of the members haven't seen me since... you know."

"I do. I think you look very presentable."

"Presentable?" He raised a brow.

"Very handsome, if you wish," I said and ran my hands over his chest, smoothing the fabric of his dress shirt. He indeed looked very attractive, but then again there hadn't been a single moment in my life in which I hadn't thought that.

Sirius smiled at me. "You look very beautiful, too."

"Do I?" I asked with a mischievous grin. I hadn't dressed up much, I just wore one of my dresses – one that had a flowery print and showed some back. Hence, I wore a jacket over it to cover that up. Sirius saw it when I put it on and he unmistakably liked what he saw. He was still a lot like the cheeky boy I fell in love with.

"You do. Always."

He gave me a short but tender kiss and then put on the rest of his outfit. We walked downstairs together, before anyone had arrived – besides the Weasleys, of course, who were living here with us. Remus was to come a little earlier than the others, and he would be here soon, bringing his belongings so that he could stay as well. I couldn't wait to see him again. I missed my best friend.

Since this wasn't a normal house and there wasn't a doorbell to warn you that someone arrived, I was rather surprised whenever it happened. But when Remus came, the surprise was very pleasant, and I immediately hugged him tightly.

"You've got to let go of him now, love," Sirius said with a smile. "I think it's my turn."

Remus chuckled, and we parted, so that he and Sirius could great each other. I couldn't believe this was happening, my two boys and I back together. But the circumstances couldn't be any more terrible. Sirius went and showed Remus his room while I helped Molly prepare tea and some snacks for the meeting. Order member after Order member arrived and they gathered in the kitchen where we had enough space. I greeted Kingsley Shacklebolt, Albus Dumbledore, Mundungus Fletcher, Mad-Eye Moody, Dedalus Diggle, a young Auror named Tonks and a lot of others. Most of them I knew from way back when but some like Tonks were new. Remus and Sirius were in there by now as well. I sat down next to Sirius and once everyone was there, the meeting started.

And there was a lot to be discussed.

"So, you're going back to Hogwarts?" Remus asked me. We were sitting in his room, I'd had the idea to check on him with a tray of tea and we decided to do some catching-up. It was evening by now, the other Order members had left, and the house was quiet besides Fred and George's apparating whenever they got the chance to do so.

"Dumbledore wants me to stay at least for the next schoolyear." I sighed. "I actually didn't want to. But he may be right... it's kinda suspicious if I leave so suddenly and I might be more useful there, having an eye on Harry."

"And Snape."

I smiled. "Well, you said that."

"It's hard to trust him after what happened." Remus took a sip of tea. "I do trust Dumbledore, though, so I suppose he knows what he's doing."

I nodded in agreement, then decided to change the subject. "How are you holding up?"

"I'm fine," he immediately said, typical Remus answer.
