"Okay, I think we're done here." Hank interrupted. "Come on, Connor. Let's go. Sorry to get you outta your pool." Hank turned around about to leave while Aaron just stood there.
I could feel her glaring at me.
"What's more important to you, Connor? Your investigation, or the life of this android? Decide who you are. An obedient machine... Or a living being endowed with free will..."
"That's enough! Connor, Aaron, we're leaving." Hank was getting pissed.
"Pull the trigger." Elijah playing his hand on my shoulder.
"Connor, don't!" Aaron placed her hand on my other shoulder.
It was like having an angel on my right, and the devil on my left as humans look at it.
"And I'll tell you what you wanna know." He tried to persuade me.
"Do it, and I won't forgive you..." Aaron whispered.
I took a moment to decide, before taking a deep breath and handing the gun back to Kamski.
"Fascinating..." He took the gun from my hands. "CyberLife's last chance to save humanity... is itself a deviant..."
Aaron lifted her hand off my shoulder and I could hear a sigh of relief.
"I'm... I'm not a deviant..." I looked at Elijah with a slight irritated expression.
"You preferred to spare a machine rather than accomplish your mission." He helped the android back up. "You saw a living being in this android. You showed empathy." He touched the android's shoulder and it walked away from us.
I watched the android before looking back at Elijah.
"A war is coming, you'll have to choose your side... Will you betray your own people or stand up against your creators? What could be worse than having to choose between two evils?"
"Come on..." I felt a pull on my arm.
Aaron dragged me away from Elijah and we were now walking back to the entrance of the pool.
"By the way..." Me and Aaron stopped in our tracks as Hank kept walking. "I always leave an emergency exit in my programs... You never know..." Kamski finished and me and Aaron caught up to Hank.
As we walked outside, Hank spoke.
"Why didn't you shoot?"
I stopped to turn and look at Hank.
"I just saw that girl's eyes... and I couldn't, that's all..."
Hank squinted his eyes, giving me a suspicious look before talking.
"You're always saying you would do anything to accomplish your mission. That was our chance to learn something, and you let it go..."
"Yeah, I know what I should've do--"
"Hank, deviant or not, Connor did the right thing... and I'm glad..." I looked to see Aaron slightly smiling at me.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm also glad." Hank smiled.
They both walked back to the car, leaving me slightly confused and looking back at my decisions, what would've happened if I shot that girl? How would Aaron treat me after it?

I was walking back to our desk with a cup of yogurt with berries and French vanilla coffee in my hand. Aaron was still on the computer working and figuring out different cases. She was working hard, so I thought that I should get something for her to keep her going and warm her up a bit. I was passing by the other desks, and met Hank on the way.
