[ movie one -- the princess diaries ]

[ chapter five ]

MIA AND I SAT IN SILENCE at the Genovian Consulate seeing as we are visiting our grandmother. We weren't talking but we weren't arguing anymore. I eyed my twin sister, watching as she went to stand near a statue while we waited for either Charlotte or our grandmother to collect us both. I winced to myself when I spotted Mia playing rough around the statue, causing a finger to break off and fall. I let an amuse smile appear on my lips as I saw that she had picked up the finger and try to magically glue it back together.

**WE COULD BE ROYALS**

I bit my lower lip at the sight before me. Mia was licking her finger and tapped the finger as well, as if it would glue it back to the statue. I laughed lightly to myself before wincing in pain when I threw my head back and hit the sofa.

"I need more roses. Red, white, mauve." I heard Charlotte's voice call out from down the hall making Mia freeze before she stuck the finger in the statue's slightly parted lips

"Miss Amelia, Miss Rosemarie. Welcome." Charlotte greeted us immediately as she came into our view

"Hi Charlotte" I greeted her back with a smile on my face as both Mia and I walked over to the blonde lady

"Straight ahead to your left. Her majesty is ready for you in the library." Charlotte informed us as the three of us walked down the hall

"Charlotte, take notes, will you?" Grandma asked Charlotte who nodded her head at grandma's orders

"Amelia, Rosemarie, circle slowly, the both of you girls, so I can evaluate the work need to be done." I heard grandma say as I stood behind Mia with a hand on my back and turned around in an okay pace

"Amelia" Grandma called out to Mia as she clapped her hands harshly, snapping Mia out of her thoughts

"Does your bad posture affect your hearing? Turn" Grandma demanded Mia and in reply, Mia parted her lips to her

"Oh, sorry" Mia apologized to our grandmother even though she shouldn't since the latter was rude to her. Mia followed her demand but she spun too fast.

"No, no, no. Slowly turn, the both of you." Grandma instructed us both making me nod at her as we slowly started turning

"Slowly. Well Carriage, obviously. Hairstyle, complexion. Stop!" Grandma exclaimed loudly, halting us as we stood in front of her and she stared back at us
