"This is sort of excited, isn't it?" Nico said quietly, spinning the stick. "You know, the whole group relying on us three to make these fires?"
Ty shrugged, not paying attention to the brunette.
"Finally, they actually let us do something! Doesn't it make you feel good, Ty?"
They shrugged once more.
"I mean-"
"Hey, kid, less yapping more twirling." Naya rolled her eyes, and went right back to making the fire. Nico scoffed, but ended up agreeing. Naya's stick caught fire, and set it into the pile. Shortly after, Ty's ignited as well, and they put it into the sticks as well. Nico decided that they had enough and threw his into it too, and the three stepped back at they watched the small flame shoot up into a large blaze. Nico stood in awe for a second before Naya grabbed his wrist and pulled him along with her as they ran away from the inferno.
"And that," Naya started, "is how you start a fire."
Ty smirked proudly. Nico's grin spread across his whole face, clenching his fists in excitement as he jogged. "That was... that was awesome! I did it!"
"Well technically you didn't do it," Naya said. Ty nudged her.
"Let him keep his excitement," They whispered. Naya rolled her eyes.
Suddenly, Nico ran ahead of the two, his arms outstretched. "You hear that?" He shouted gleefully. "We've done it! We just saved your butts! We're not useless!"
Ty bit their lip. Nico was being way too loud. As Nico continued to yell in excitement, Naya turned to Ty. "Aren't you gonna tell your little friend to shut the fuck up before it hears us?" she whispered. Ty rolled their eyes. She was right.
"Come on, Nico, I think they know." Who 'they' was was a mystery to Ty.
"Wait just a second," Nico said. He came to a halt, tilting his head to the sky.
"WE'RE GOING TO GET YOU, YOU FUCKING MONSTERS!"
Ty's jaw dropped. Nico...
"You just... cursed." Nico turned to Ty, smirking. "I have never heard you curse. At least... not like that."
"Well, I guess people change," Nico said smugly. Naya started to clap.
"You tell 'em, kid!" She said with a large smile. Nico bowed, then turned back around.
"Let's finish this job."

Nobody was keeping track of how long they were there anymore. It didn't even really matter, in full honesty. The only thing that Marisa knew was that it was possibly nine in the morning, since the sun was fully out, which sparked the realization that, not long ago, she had almost gotten killed by falling rocks.
