She stood on the bridge
In silence and shame
For the promises she made
Had fallen to dismayHer demons of darkness
Had driven her here
No longer willing to fight them
She stood so clearThey beat a kind heart
Tearing it to shreds
Making her believe
This is where it startsThey're always there
Sometimes hiding out of sight
Waiting in the background
Till it was time to fightThese demons were true
Knocking down the life she knew
Teaching her to hate her weakness
How she hated them too. These demons have never been seen
She hid them to well
She knew they only had life inside her
She's no longer letting them growSo on the bridge she stood
Ready to end the fight
She stopped and thought
About her last goodbyeA tear ran down her face
As he crossed her mind
How he hated her sorry
How he will hate her goodbye.
