All around, sounds of friends fighting friends, confidants fighting confidants, and teammates fighting teammates could be heard. Charlotte wasn't sure who to help or who to fight. So, she remained crouched behind a crate until Steve and Bucky broke away from their fights to join her.

Charlotte looked visibly tense as she warned the boys, "We gotta go. That guy's probably in Siberia by now."

"We gotta draw out the flyers. I'll take Vision." her brother began to form a plan.

"I'll take Rhodey. You get to the jet, Char." Bucky nodded in the direction of the hangar.

Before Charlotte had any time to reject or accept their proposition, Sam interrupted over the comms, "No, all three of you get to the jet! The rest of us aren't getting out of here."

"As much as I hate to admit it, if we're gonna win this one, some of us might have to lose it." Clint chimed in.

Charlotte glanced around, horrified. This wasn't how she expected this to go at all. She didn't know if the guy they were chasing was dangerous or not nor did she know what the other side was going to do to the people who had so selflessly offered to help her.

She wasn't used to people making sacrifices for her. Now that they were, she was horrified at the thought of it.

"This isn't the real fight, Steve." Sam reminded them through the comms. Steve glanced between his best friend and his sister for a moment as he considered his options. Charlotte waited with bated breath to see what he was going to decide to do.

"Alright, Sam, what's the play?"

"We need a diversion, something big."

Overhead, Sam zipped by with War Machine hot on his tail. Charlotte glanced around the rest of the tarmac and saw both Wanda and Clint tangled up in their own fights. Scott was no where in sight.

"I got something kind of big, but I can't hold it very long. On my signal, run like hell. And if I tear myself in half, don't come back for me." Scott suddenly voiced over the comms.

"He's gonna tear himself in half?" Charlotte asked skeptically. She'd never had someone willing to tear themselves in half for her before, so she wasn't exactly sure how she should feel about Scott's proposition.

"You're sure about this, Scott?" Bucky double checked.

"I do it all the time. I mean once...in a lab. Then I passed out."

Charlotte tuned out his monologue as she turned to her brother, "Are you sure he should be doing this? I mean, I'm not worth it. We can figure something else out, can't we?"

"I don't think there's any other option. If we tried to run to the hangar, a part of it is open air. We'd be easy targets for pretty much anyone. We need them all distracted so we can all make it. You are worth it, Charlotte. Don't ever say that again."

Charlotte was about to argue back, but she was cut off by Scott growing to at least twenty times his normal height. He had a tight grip on one of War Machine's legs and was laughing.

Simultaneously, Charlotte, Steve, and Bucky straightened up from their crouched positions behind the crates.

"I guess that's the signal." Steve commented, stunned.

"Way to go, Tic Tac!" Sam cheered through the comms.

The trio double checked that the other side was occupied before they all took off at a sprint towards the hangar. Seeing as how all three are super-soldiers, they had no problem keeping pace with each other.

Suddenly, Scott cried out, "Something just flew in me!"

Charlotte whipped her head around to see Vision, or at least that's who she thought her brother was talking about earlier, float through Scott's gigantic form.

"What the actual hell?" she muttered before she turned around and caught up to her brother and Bucky.

Yet, before they could get very far, the control tower began to collapse towards the hangar's entrance. The trio slowed, but were glad to see that the young Avenger on their side was using her powers to keep the stone from falling on them.

They turned and continued towards the hangar. A scream from behind them brought their attention back to the falling debris.

"Go! Go!" Charlotte yelled, ushering her brother and Bucky forwards as the debris swiftly began to tumble towards them.

They stumbled through just in time as the stone crashed onto the cement were the trio had been standing just seconds before. They all smiled at each other, glad to have made it. But, their smiles soon fell as they noticed the red-head standing between them and the jet.

"You're not gonna stop." she stated as a matter of fact instead of a question.

"You know we can't."

"I'm gonna regret this."

The red-head brought her fists up, ready to stun them, yet they were surprised to find that it wasn't aimed at them. Instead, she shot at the Black Panther who had followed the trio to the hangar without any of their knowledge.

"Go." the red-head urged as she shot another blast at him.

The trio nodded at her gratefully as they sprinted by her. Inside the jet, Steve and Bucky rushed to the controls. The noises of switches flipping, engines whirring, and seat belts clicking filled the cockpit.

Charlotte could barely see through the window that the red-head was struggling to hold the Black Panther back. Just as they got in the air and began to pull the wheels in, the Black Panther broke through her defenses and was out of sight of the window.

Charlotte waited nervously to see if he was going to pull open the ramp or burst through one of the windows, but neither incident occurred. They had made it safely into the air. But, not quite.

"I got Rhodey on my side." Bucky announced as he checked over his shoulder.

"Stark's on mine." Steve chimed in.

"On it." Sam announced.

Charlotte waited patiently for the outcome. As she waited, she stared straight ahead at the blue sky.

"All clear." Steve announced, a slight smile on his face. Charlotte and Bucky smiled as well, until they realized what it truly meant for just the three of them to get away.

"Do you think they'll be okay?" Charlotte murmured.

"They knew what they were getting into. They'll be alright."

Charlotte sighed as her attention shifted to her hands folded in her lap. She didn't like the idea of those four people sacrificing what could be their entire lives for her. If her brother had let her, she would have gone to Siberia herself. But, she was glad he didn't because she knew she would not have been able to take on all five of the other Winter Soldiers by herself.

"It'll be alright, kiddo. We just gotta focus on the next thing." Steve advised her. The air fell silent as Charlotte simply nodded her head.

"Can you come put the coordinates in, again?" her brother asked after a few silent minutes. Charlotte did as she was asked before she fell back into her seat and the jet became quiet again.

"What's on your mind, Char?" Bucky interrupted the silence this time.

"Nothing. I'm gonna go check what weapons we have."

Steve and Bucky shared a look, but opted to not push it. Instead, they returned their focus to the controls.

Siberia was a long way away.

Guys, I'm really sorry for the long break in updates. I've been really busy with preparing for college, hanging out with friends, and a lot more. Plus, I haven't had much inspiration for what I wanted to write for this part.

I'm still not sure if I like this update, but I need to update something so here it is. Let me know what y'all think!
