Secret Story 1 - On my Mind

Aki had called for me...

In her room I'm teaching her how to sew, some of her slightly torn clothes.

"You sew this bit here, like this..." I instructed while I show it how it should be properly done, she's been struggling with the whole process from the start but I enjoyed sewing so I don't mind teaching her.

"Like this?" she said while showing me slowly while she glides the thread and needle in.

"Yeah, that's it."

"Wow, thanks! You'd become a good bride one day."

"You're good at everything."

"Huh? B-Bride, n-no, that's not true..."

I hurriedly shake my head.

"I'm weak, so I can't carry heavy things, I'm a bit slow and I tend to do things at my own phase."

"What's use of a husband if he can't carry stuff for you, and once you're married are you planning to do all the house chores yourself, no you don't have too, you had a husband to do that for you."

"I think it's a bit early for me to think of those things Yomiko..." I awkwardly smiled.

"Oh! Right! S-sorry." She replied.

"For now I still struggle to reach high-up shelves and need to ask someone for help stuff like that."

As I say this, I remembered something.

(Mina helped me out earlier didn't he...)

It feels like Mina is helping me out a lot recently.

(He seems like a really nice guy...)

(It doesn't feel weird when he talks to me, either...)

(I usually feel uncomfortable around guys...)

I didn't notice I was lost in my thoughts when...

"Hm? What's wrong, Rei?"

"Huh?"

"Yomiko peers around at me, as I hurriedly force a smile.

"S-sorry, it's nothing..."

"Really? You're smiling for nothing?"

"Eh?"(I'm smiling?!)

"Anyway, how do I sew this part..." she asked as she showed me.

"Oh! Well..."

As I show her how, I think about Mina again.

(Next time, maybe I'll try talking to him.)
