2- Fallen Feathers

It had been a little over two weeks since Jimin started to recognize that his feelings towards Yoongi may not be purely objective. Since then he hasn't been able to truly focus or sleep undisturbed.

Until the day he finally decided he'd had enough, and it was time to discuss this with someone other than his racing thoughts and internet forums.

And so Jimin found himself knocking tentatively at the door of Namjoon's studio.

"Jimin-ah, do you need something?" Namjoon asked once he opened the door.

"Actually, hyung can we have a private talk...it's just something that's been bothering me lately," Jimin made no attempt at eye contact with him, instead deciding to keep his gaze on the floor.

"Oh sure," Namjoon stepped backwards to make room for Jimin to enter.

Once the door closed, Jimin took the position of sitting on a stool and Namjoon on the office chair. A position known to all members really.

Over the years it wasn't uncommon to find themselves in need of a private conversation with each other, and usually it was Namjoon they were having it with seeing as how he tended to open himself up for these kinds of situations.

"So, what is it that's been bothering you, Jimin?" 

"It's...well...it's not something that's been bothering me per say..."

"What do you mean?"

Jimin took a shaky breath, he didn't know why but just the thought of admitting something like this had his stomach twisting and chest tightening. If he tells him the truth, won't he think he's strange? Won't he say he's over exaggerating or that he's got it all wrong?

"I...what would you do if," He swallowed. "What would you do if one of the members wanted to date someone?"

"I would support them and remind them to be careful and conscious of what they do, I would also hope that the girl they're with would treat him nicely," He seemed to study Jimin's expression with concern.

"What if...what if it wasn't a girl," He managed to blurt out.

"You mean what if one of the members likes guys?"

Jimin nodded.

"Can I know why you ask?"

"It's just something I've been thinking about, ah you know just like some things I've seen around...and I'm just curious,"

"Ok...well Jimin you know who someone loves shouldn't define them. Not everyone is the same. If one of us turns out to be romantically attracted to guys then I see no problem in that and I'm sure he would be accepted by all of us,"

Jimin's chest warmed up but his throat tightened, the words felt painful as much as they were comforting. But the pain in them was simply regret to not realizing everything sooner, an waking call that told him he had to face everything as it really is now.

"Jimin, did you hear something around or?"

"N-no...well kind of it's complicated but thank you hyung that's all I needed to know,"

"Okay well I hope you know you can come to me for anything,"

"I know,"

Namjoon smiled. "Good. Did you have anything else you wanted to talk about?"

"No that's all...thank you,"

"Of course,"

Jimin left Namjoon's studio with teary eyes, a blooming warmth of comfort in his chest, and a new revelation.
