[ CHAPTER NINE ]

MIA AND I SAT ON THE BLEACHERS TOGETHER, watching Joe play basketball in the courtyard. Mia had an umbrella, covering her from the rain but I didn't. I just sat there, getting drenched a bit due to the light rain but I didn't care. The bell rang out throughout the school making me smile knowing that Jeremiah, Michael and Lilly would be here soon.

"Will the Feng Shui Club please stop rearranging tables on the lawn?" A voice over the intercom asked the students, pleading with the club

I sighed and let a smile spread across my lips as I laid down on a bleacher, laying down. I closed my eyes, enjoying the cool and the rain droplets that fell on me. I heard footsteps coming closer and opened my right eye to see who was arriving. It was Lilly with Jeremiah and behind them was Michael. They ran towards us but were careful not to trip due to the rain puddles surrounding the courtyard.

"Hello, princesses! You're the most popular girl in school, everybody wants to take your picture, everybody wants to be your best friend." Lilly gushed to us as she climbed up the steps on the bleacher and I opened my other eye

"Hi, Lilly." We both greeted her with a smile as Mia stood up and walked over to where she was

I continued to lay on the bleacher but almost rolled off when I felt someone sit near me. The arms wrapped around me as Jeremiah hoisted me up to lean against him. I smiled up at him as I watched Michael make his way towards Lilly.

"Hi pretty girl." Jeremiah greeted me quietly before leaning down to kiss me on the cheek and I grinned up at him

"Okay, so girls, you know what? I made a list of all the reasons for you two not to be princesses. Number one, no privacy. Number two, you always have to look just right. Number three..." Lilly started listing off but she trailed off when Mia slid on a step and fall

I quickly shot up from my seat and tried my best to run to her. I suppose at that moment, I forgot about the rain and I ended up squealing in shock when I felt myself slip. The last thing I saw before closing my eyes was Michael and Lilly checking if she was okay due to them being closer to her and Jeremiah checked on me.

"Mia, are you okay?" I asked my older sister due to hearing her let out a laugh just as I sat up, opening my eyes and blew my drenched hair out of my face

"I'm fine, Mary. The question is are you okay?" Mia asked me in concern once she stopped laughing and I noticed that she turned her head to look at me

"I'm cool." I replied to my older sister as we both stood up with the help of the people closes to us

"What was number three?" Mia asked Lilly once she regained her proper balance and I sat on a bleacher
