"You, you..." Crystal said, pointing her finger at June, her mouth agape. Crystal could be considered a beauty with her big doe eyes, white skin and full pouty lips. She was dressed on her school uniform which was a white button up short sleeve shirt with her school logo tucked into a black pleated skirt with a white line and white tennis shoes. She had minimal make up on and she had let her long hair down in small waves.
"Yes? I?" Kai said, raising an eyebrow at his sister's antics.
"Big Brother?" Crystal asked, uncertain if the beautiful man in front of her was the same gentle and warm older brother of hers. The same brother that would defend her from the bullies when they were young and let her sleep with him when she had a nightmare. She had been notified by Uncle Luke, their family's butler, that her brother was coming home from abroad to attend St William. She was exited and looked forward to seeing her brother again, but days turned to weeks and she started to feel disheartened. This morning she had been dispersedly thinking of her brother and imagining an emotional reunion where she would run to him in a hug crying her heart out and he would comfort her with a hug and kiss on her forehead, so it was no wonder she screeched when she saw him step out of his room. Her emotional reunion totally ruined!
"Yeah? What, you don't remember your older brother's face? I'm sad that my baby sister doesn't remember me." Kai said, pouting.
Watching Kai's cute pout, Crystal felt her eyes tear up. She had missed this big brother of hers. Throwing her ruined emotional reunion to the back of her mind, Cristal smiled brightly, she wiped her tears and ran to Kai hugging him. Stiffening for a moment, Kai didn't know what to do with his hands. He had never been hugged before, so he felt somewhat weird being hugged out of nowhere.
"I really missed you" Crystal said, rubbing her face in his chest. Feeling a warmth fill his heart, Kai smiled, relaxing his tense muscles, and hugged her back.
Letting go, they both walked downstairs to eat breakfast. Crystal talking the hole way, telling Kai of everything he missed while he was abroad. Entering the dining room, Kai was expecting to see a big dinner table that could seat forty people like the one his Father had, but what greeted him was a small extendable family table that could accommodate ten people if one so desired, full of delicacies such as bacon, eggs, pancakes, waffles, fruits, milk, etcetera. The table was currently extended so it could fit six people, and there was already three people sitting down. A middle-aged man was sitting at the head of the table, a middle-aged woman to his right and a young man sitting next to her.
When Kai and Crystal walked in everyone quieted down, then the middle-aged woman squealed and got up running towards Kai, the middle-aged man right on her heels, both with wide smiles on their faces, while the young man stood up from his seat, a small smile forming on his lips which froze when he saw Kai. Watching the two people walking towards him, Kai searched his memories and found out they where his parents.
Lily Zhao, Kai's mother was nearly forty years old, but she looked ten years younger. She was a small and thin beauty, with white jade like skin and blonde silky-smooth hair that gave her a gentle and demure look when she was quiet, yet her personality was quite the opposite with her spitfire attitude and poisonous tongue. She also was a mother hen as she placed her children above anting else, including her husband and loved them with her whole being. Daniel Zhao, Kai's father was almost forty five and was Lily's complete opposite. He could be the definition of Tall Dark and Handsome because of his dark locks with hints here and there of white, his six feet tall stature and handsome looks. Daniel was a quiet and talented man, who also dearly loved his children and his wife.
Zhao Mama pushed back her husband and hugged Kai, while ignoring Zhao Papa's pout. Crystal busted out laughing while Kai dumbfoundedly watched their childish acts with a hint of amusement on his eyes.
