"Chase what are you doing here?" I ask holding the door closed.

"I wasn't sure if you were going to be here or not since school just got out, but I came to pick up some of my stuff that you have," he ruffles his hair.

"Um, okay, sure, you should have texted me first instead of just showing up though, I could have had your stuff ready," I reply a little disgruntled in him just showing up to my house without any forewarning.

"I know, sorry I was just thinking about it, so I thought I would get it over and done with."

"Yeah, fine, just wait there," I tell him trying not to limp up the stairs too much. I shuffle into my room and start searching for his hoodies and some of the little trinkets he had given me. Once I have them wrapped in a plastic bag I limp as fast as I can back down the stairs and see Nathan standing at the front door with his arms crossed, while Chase glares at him.

"I appreciate the threat, but we're just friends, dude," Nathan rolls his eyes and notices me coming down the stairs.

"I'm just saying, you're a rebound," Chase shrugs with a smirk on his face.

"He is not a rebound and that is none of your business," I cross my arms coming to stand next to Nathan. I shove his things into his arms, "You can leave now."

"Why is he here? We've been broken up for 2 weeks and you're already getting cozy with Ward? I knew this was going to happen," Chase gestures to Nathan with a scoff. "Don't you think that's a little slutty, even for you?" My eyes widen from shock at what has just come out of his mouth.

"Don't talk to her like that, man," Nathan moves me behind him to stand in front of Chase, shoving him back slightly. Oh, shit.

"She can talk for herself, Ward," Chase takes a step closer, shoving Nathan back, causing him to knock into me. Nathan straightens up to his full height, beating Chase by a good three inches. I need to stop this now before fists start flying.

"Alright boys put your dicks away, Chase you have your shit, now leave," I glare at Chase, stepping between both boys, Nathan opens his mouth to object but shuts it when he sees the look on my face.

"Fuck you, Ward. I'm not too worried, you'll get it on the field," he threatens and then looks over to me, "I'll go but I just wanted to say I told you so," he gives me a sarcastic smile and turns around leaving.

"You know just because we broke up doesn't mean you have to be a fucking asshole now!" I yell at him as he climbs into his car, ignoring me.

"Whose a fucking asshole?" I look over at the new contributor to the conversation and gasp in delight.

"Harry!" I limp down trying to get to him as fast as I can. He meets me halfway and picks me up twirling me around. "What the fuck are you doing here? Mom and dad never said you were coming!" He puts me down and I smile up at him.

"That's because I didn't tell them I was coming," he smiles picking up his duffel bag and walking to the front door, where Nathan still stands lost in thought. "I'm going to let you deal with this boy drama you have going on here while I go raid the fridge, and then you can tell me what idiotic thing you did to cause you to limp." He gives a head nod and 'sup' to Nathan and carries on into the house.

I shuffle up the driveway towards Nathan, "What did he mean by 'I told you so'? and that I'm a rebound?"

"Oh, he's just being stupid, he thought that if we spent too much time hanging out, that I would fall in love with you or something, and that helped him decide that he couldn't trust me," I chuckle nervously.

"So, I was the reason you broke up?" He looks at me with a guilty expression.

"No, no! That's not it, we constantly fought all the time over stupid little things, it wasn't all because of you," I explain gesturing around with my hands.

"But I'm to blame for some of it? I should go, I never meant to make it look like I'm after you or anything like that," he starts rambling and I try and think of something to say that will give him some peace of mind.

"Not everything is about you, you're not God's gift to the world," I roll my eyes playfully and he chuckles embarrassed.

"Sorry, but I should go anyway, training started 5 minutes ago," he jerks his thumb in the direction of his car.

"Right, okay I'll see you on Monday?" I wave but I am cut off from the hug he gives me. He smells good.

"Thank you?" I freeze and pull back from him quickly. Did I just say that out loud? Oh, crap. I laugh obnoxiously loud, not really sure what to do, and shuffle further away from him, internally freaking out, and completely embarrassed. I shut the front door, with him still staring at me confused and slightly afraid for my mental health.

I lean against the front door, "I hate my life," I hit my head repeatedly against the hardwood door.

"That was smooth," Harry comments from behind me, his voice slightly muffled from what I assume is the food he's scoffing down his throat.

"If you're not going to comfort me, your presence is unnecessary," I turn around watching him take another bite of his toast.

"What kind of brother would I be if I didn't humiliate you every chance I got?" He walks over and ruffles my hair, I swat his arm, scowling.

"A good one?" I ask sarcastically.

"Well, you get what you get and you don't get upset," he replies, quoting something mom and dad used to tell us growing up. I roll my eyes pushing past him and towards the television room. "So, what did you do to destroy your knee this time?" he takes a seat next to me on the couch.

"Same thing I did to destroy my knee last time," I shrug, annoyed at my knee for being stupid.

"Seriously? That fucking sucks," he takes a bite of his toast putting crumbs all over the seat.

"Stop getting crumbs everywhere, dad is going to kill you!" I smack his arm.

"Says the girl who eats pizza on the couch," he scoffs at my hypocrisy, jabbing me in the side. I look over at my plate on the coffee table.

"You ate my pizza! Jackass, that was mine," I pout like a child, crossing my arms over my chest for the full effect. Actually, it was Maddie's but he didn't need to know that.

"I just drove three hours to come to see you and this is the kind of treatment I get?" He asks rhetorically.

"'You get what you get and you don't get upset'," I copy his words from earlier.

"Rude," he scoffs picking up the remote off the arm of the chair.

We sit in silence watching some mindless football game, that's probably been on our DVR since Harry left two months ago.

I hear voices from the driveway and the slamming of car doors, from what I assume are my other siblings. The front door opens and I hear them shouting at each other about their days.

"Harry?" I hear my sister's shout from the foyer, no doubt seeing his car in our driveway.

"Sisters?" he exclaims dramatically.

"Harry!" They scream back running into the room and jumping on him, narrowly missing my knee.

"Ah, fuck you girls are heavy," Harry puffs out, exaggeratedly.

"Swear jar!" Maddie shouts from on top of him.

"We have a fucking swear jar?" Harry exclaims confusedly.
