Chapter 6

Tails had contacted me and the others to meet at the main room in the A.R.K

When I got there with Batgirl and Blaze, Shadow wasn't with them

" hey where's Shadow " Rouge asked a little worried

" we found a container and there was a small blue he'd inside, he was in a cryogenic sleep, I don't know for how long though " Tails said

" and Shadow took him to one of the rooms that aren't destroyed, he said he'd stay there until the hedgehog woke up " Silver continued

" wait a small blue hedgehog " I asked dumbfounded, Tails and Silver nodded

{with Shadow}

I was carrying the hedgehog that was in my arms to one of the rooms I kept clean, I was confused, he looked so much like the hedgehog in my dream the other day

I carefully put him down on the bed I use when I come up here for alone time, I pulled the blanket over him by instinct, for some reason

I felt like I knew him, known him my whole life, this is confusing, did Gerald create another ultimate lifeform?

I ended up falling asleep on the chair I had sat on minutes ago, my last thought was on him

{Sonic's Pov}

I was still trapped in this darkness, but it was different from seconds? Minutes? Hours? Days? Ago I don't know but this was different

I could hear voices, but they weren't from the darkness that surrounded me, I think

I don't know how long it had been but The was a light in front of me, everything was blurry at first but it cleared, I was in a room with metal walls, I was in a bed with a blanket, I look around and see a red and black hedgehog asleep on a chair

I didn't know what to do so I sat there looking at everything, I blinked a few times to make sure this was real, I heard something open and close, a silver hedgehog was standing there blinking in surprise

I got scared and hid under the bed, I heard him sigh, and walk towards the bed, I heard a yelp or ow of pain or was it a hiss, I done know

" hey, it's ok we won't hurt you " I looked at the silver hedgehog's eyes, they were a amber colour, there was a small smile on his muzzled

" Silver, you idiot " that name, that voice, it sounded somewhat familiar but I can't put the pieces together

" Shadow.....you know what you try and get him out from under the bed " Silver huffed or growled

" whatever, look kid I need you to come out from under...........there " he paused as he looked me in the eyes, he had red eyes that glowed like rubies, I tilted my head, he reminds me of.........that person yelling something at me before the abiss of darkness

He shook his head, sighed and got up, I don't know why but I climbed out from under the bed and looked up at him, I tilted my head and I had a slight frown

The silver hedgehog got on his knees, and looked at me, I tilted my head at him, I was confused

" can you tell us what your name is please " he smiled at me, I frowned, I don't remember my name

I tried saying that I don't know my name, but nothing came out, he looked confused along with the red and black hedgehog

Something clicked in my mind and I remembered, I'm a mute, I can't make any vocal sounds, I also remembered that I learnt these symbols

I shifted my hands, trying to remember how it went

'I ca- remem-r i- ' is all I got down before I got frustrated

The two hedgehogs looked confused on what I was doing, but Shadow seemed to snap like he knew something, he got down in front of me

" do you remember " he asked with something in his eyes, I shook my head saying no

" do you remember anything " Silver asked, I tried using hand signals again

' onl- th-t I ca-t ta-k ' I tried, he blinked

" you can't talk can you " the red and black hedgehog asked again

The look in his eyes made something twist in me, I've seen it before, when I was given the shot, fear, worry, care and a look of safety

I shake my head no, he leaned back as if he connected dots to a puzzle

I felt my eyelids grow heavy, I yawn and rub my eyes

" you should rest " the silver hedgehog said as he picked me up and placed me on the bed, his grip made me feel safe

He walked to the door along with the other hedgehog and turned the light off, my eyes widened and I stayed to shake, the light switched back on and Shadow looked at me worried

He sat next to me

" what's wrong " he asked

' I hate the dark ' I did it without thinking, he blinked and nodded, like he understood

" I'll stay here, you sleep okay " he asked in a rough tone, I nodded, I know I should be scared but he made me feel safe as well

" sliver go to the others and tell them I'm fine and that he's awake but he needs rest " he said as he sat on the chair again, Silver nodded and left

I layed down and the last thing I saw was Shadow looking at me with half lidded eyes
