*i didn't expect myself to come back to this, but here i am with another chapter. Enjoy :)

Drowsily, I awoke. Looking through the darkness, I spotted Varian sitting at his desk, deep in thought. I clear my throat to get his attention, to which he glares back. He doesn't say a word, but instead shoots me a mean look before returning to whatever he was doing. I sigh, bored from doing nothing. Suddenly, Varian moves from his desk and grabs his belongings. I inquire him, curious as to what he was planning,
"Where are you going? I thought you didn't trust me to be alone.."
He rolled his eyes and muttered something incoherent before returning back to me
"Don't worry about it, and I really don't think you're going anywhere."
I watched him as he left, disgusted that I had actually at one point liked him. I thought back to the days when we'd go on adventures and just have fun in general. He was such a good friend and was always the highlight of my day, yet now he is drenched in his hunger for wrath. He wears a prejudice against the innocent and doesn't realize what he's doing. I pity him.

I wake up to hear the slamming of a door, and the rapid footprints of someone close by. Drowsily, I peek open my eyes to see Varian back now, holding something. Looking closer, I realize- it's the flower! Gasping, I think for a minute before spitting out at him,
"Why do you have that!"
Varian turned and sneered with such anger that I was taken aback,
"Because I have a job to do, because some people are too incompetent that they can't save people right in front of them!"
I stared back in awe, then glossed over the flower. Though it was pitiful looking, it was beautiful.
"...remember when we made flower crowns? They were beautiful...and it was very fun spending that time with you.."
Varian looked up, and I could swear for a second I saw a hint of remorse before it was clouded once more,
"That's the past. Before you were a treacherous monster.."
I shake my head and chuckle,
"You're the real traitor here. You're the real monster.. you just can't see it. You were all caught up in a piece of heaven, so now you'll burn forever stuck in your vengeful prowl..."

"The sundrop isn't in the flower.. it's rapunzel!"

Yep here it is folks. This is about to hit 20K so I'll probably do something nice, so be ready for that. Sorry this is short, I really couldn't think of what happened in the story tbh cause it's been so long haha. The next chapters will be the ending finally so get ready for that. I hope you all have had a good year so far, and I am actually pumped to finish this.
See you guys soon~
