(A/N I'm only doing one more of these for another looked-over character, but it might take a while)

The kingdom of Liblicen, just twn miles of ocean separating it, is very different from Goldeneye. The continent is home to the highest number of hybrids, mages, and Zemrlt of corse. A small number of humans also call the colorful land home. The plants and animals seemed to have almost soaked in the magic of the many mages, changing and developing unique features found no where else. The main form of communication was a system of sign language, only taught in Liblicen. Many of the Zemrlt weren't even able to speak. A wide variety of healing plants grow deep in the seeming endless forests. The capital is tucked into the middle of this large forest. Paved roads connect all the other cities to it. This is where our young mute first met Don, a Zemrlt of Royal lineage.

I tug on my mon's dress, scared of the growing darkness. Imaginary monsters seem to be reaching out for me. My mom looks down at me, seeing my worried face. "It's ok honey, we're almost to you cousin's house. And then we can finally teach you some Liblicen sign language", she smiles at me, making hand signs that originated from Goldeneye. My mommy is from across the ocean, but my daddy was born here. We're going to see him right now. He went ahead of us to bring our stuff their for then next month. I've never met daddy's family before. I hope that they're nice. Will they hate it that I can't speak?

But with my own voice muted, I've always been able to hear others more clearly. So, I hear the quite crunch of leaves on the forest floor. I immediately stop walking to listen. My mommy stops too, trying to gently tug me forward. I make a small whimpering sound, even as it makes my throat burn. My mom, surprised, looks down at me. "Sweety, are you ok?", she asks me. I move to cling to her leg as I hear the sound come closer. Mommy finally hears it and whips her head up to look at the dark forest around us.

The first thing I can make out are the eyes. Piercing green eyes that stare straight at me. It moves forward, steps slow and steady. My mother swears, making me flinch, before drawing the sword from the sheath on her back. My mother has always been so courageous in my eyes. I've always wanted to be like her. This memory of her standing guard with her sword would be forever burned into my memory. I cling to her leg as my mom stares down the wolf. It's nearly a foot taller then the wolves from GoldenEye. Black swirls paint themselves across its gray fur. They're called Shadow Wolves.

It snarls at my mommy, not seeming to care about her iron blade. It stars circling, never completely leaving the shadows. I don't understand when I feel Mommy pushing me away with her leg. "Listen to me, baby, I need you to walk into the forest. Don't run. Find somewhere to hide, ok? I'll come find you", she whispers to me, not taking her eyes off of the Shadow Wolf. I make a weak attempt at protest, my throat not letting me speak. I quickly try to sign something, but Mommy gives me a slight shove away from her. I can't help it when I start to cry. I shakily start to walk, and I hear slight steps start to follow me, but my mom puts herself in front of the wolf and doesn't let it follow me.

Pretty soon, I can't see them anymore. Despite what Mommy told me, I start running. I can barely see through the tears blurring my vision. I just want my mom! Why do bad things always happen? It was suppose to get better after this! I'm so lost in my own self-pity that I don't notice the ridge until it's too late. The ground breaks underneath my feet, sending my rumbling down the hill. I feel small rocks scrape and bruise my skin as I roll down to the bottom. And there I lay, battered and heaving for breath. I don't even remember what happened after that. I must have passed out at some point.

I wake up to the sun shinning into my eyes, and someone gently shaking my arm. I ache all over and I still feel exhausted. But I do wince and open my eyes. I lay on my stomach, and I can just make out a blurry figure crouched in front of me. I remember reaching out for them, too scared to even wonder who it is. I let my eyes fall back closed, making a small whimper despite my throat. Arms suddenly pull me off the ground. I feel a huff of breath on my face as they shakily stand up. They couldn't of been much bigger the me, but I was too delirious at the time to think straight. But I'll always remember the sharp ridges of bone I could feel rub against my back.
