I knew it. I fucking knew it!

Dia Amoreena Castillo did not "fucking knew it". She thought about it but never knew it.

She can hear them, she can sense them, she knows they're outside but she doesn't know what they're doing. Her eyes traveled down at the fork in her hand and she growled lightly before dropping her arm and turning on her heel and walking away.

The Avengers stood defensively outside the building. They were ready to fight whatever came through the premises. Their system was alerted about the intrusion and then they heard the gunshots. They all stopped what they were doing and immediately went outside to deal with the problem.

Problem is, the problem they were waiting to deal with was taking its time.

The sun is almost gone, but there's still light out. The sky an array of colors, a light breeze in the wind. Steve and Dia's notebooks are splattered on the grass, the chairs they sat on also laying on the ground.

The group kept an attentive eye and ear out for any more gunshots, or sight of whoever or whatever got in. They didn't see anything but they definitely heard it.

An engine roaring in the distance and it got closer and closer. The group readied themselves for an attack. They don't know what they're dealing with but since they heard four gunshots, they can only assume that these people are not here for autographs.

Suddenly a yellow taxi flew out of the trees and speed toward the building. It got close fast and it came to a struggling sideways halt a couple feet away from the avengers. They stared in confusion at the taxi. It's bright yellow with black letters on the side that says 'Metro Taxi Service' The car is banged up, scratches all over along with dents, a couple of bullet holes on the back.

For a second the group wondered if that's the bad guys new tactic. Taking a taxi. It sure would be interesting but stressful. Hauling down a cab while covered in blood? Doesn't seem appealing.

The right door flew open and a man in a red suit jumped out. He held his arms up in surrender.

"Don't shoot!" Deadpool shouted "I've already been shot at! I'd like to call it a day"

"Who the hell are you!?" Tony demanded, a gauntlet in his hand.

"Really? You don't know me?" Deadpool asked dejectedly, his arms lowering down a bit but quickly raised them when he saw Natasha aim a gun at him.

"Wait, you're that Deadpool guy!" Rhodes exclaimed "from the news!"

"A fan! Sorry I don't have anything to sign"

"Not a fan!" Rhodes shook his head "I saw what you did in the highway"

"Funny, I saw what you did in Sokovia!" He shot back "shit, I just blew my chances on joining the Avengers!" He looked down and shook his head.
