Izuku had always been well loved by his peers, first was because he spouted compliments like a fountain and two because he looked absolutely adorable, even the older kids like him and almost no one picks on him even if he was markless and quirkless, also because Katsuki keeps growling at everyone who does so much as look at his best friend badly, no one wants a spiky angry pomeranian chasing them after all

"Kacchan! Kacchan! Say ah!" Izuku said, poking a piece of his lunch to Katsuki's mouth, the blonde quickly chomped on it, he quickly took some of his lunch too and shoved it in Izuku's mouth, the poor green haired child almost choked

"Y-You have to be gentle about it K-Kacchan!"

"Just eat the damn thing, Izuku!"

"I can't if you keep choking me!" He whines

Izuku pouts but keeps eating, idly munching on his bento

"Hey Izuku"

"Yeah Kacchan?"

"I want you to be my soulmate" Izuku nods

"I'm markless, Kacchan"

"I don't care" Izuku nods

"I'm sure they'll be a nice person, you have to introduce me to them if you meet them, Kacchan!"

"Oi oi, did you even listen to what I'm saying?" Izuku nodded

"What did I talk about?"

"Uh... soulmate something something, right? I don't have one" Katsuki huffed

"That's not it, Deku" Izuku pouts

"I told you not to call me that anymore!"

"Oi Izuku, you haven't been coming around here often, did something happen?" Yashi asked, the black haired teen was something like an older brother to Izuku, when the other teens try to pick on the child, it's mostly him who's coming to his rescue

"Oh um... me and Kacchan fought but but we got back together again and now I think he's trying to make up for it!" Izuku took something out of his pocket

"He even gave me his favorite chocolate! Here you can have one!" Izuku smiled, Yashi took one

"Hm... Kacchan is the blonde one right?" Izuku nods

"Why did you two fight?" Izuku pouts

"He was just angry that I couldn't be a hero duo with him, but he says it's fine now and he'd just protect me!"

"Ah.. Kacchan really likes you Eh?"

"It's fine because I like Kacchan a lot too!" Yashi chuckled and ruffled Izuku's hair

"Well, tell me if Kacchan breaks your heart okay? I'll beat him up!" Izuku whines

"N-No! Don't beat Kacchan up! He's my friend!"

"Is he?"

"Yashi-nii!"

"I'm just teasing you" Izuku frowns but then his cute little face suddenly turned angelic, flashing a cute innocent smile to his old kid neighbor, Yashi blinked, in an instant, Izuku was running away he tilted his head, confused

Before he noticed that the takoyaki he was holding earlier along with the chocolate Izuku gave him was gone
