"Oh my god" says Bell, remembering what just happened. 

Richard looks at her "you okay?"

"Oh my god" she says again "oh god" 

"Hey" he says, stoping "what is it?" 

"I can't believe that just happened"

Richard shrugs "that's what happens when you have a bully on the throne" 

Bell blinks at him, her heart jolting. She looks around "Should you be saying that?" 

"no I shouldn't" he says "but that doesn't mean I won't say it" 

He starts walking again and Bell follows after him. 

"you seemed close on the boat" she says 

"Did we?" he says "We were raised together. I'm actually related to him...It's a long, complicated story" 

"Oh wow" she says "so you're royalty?" 

"You can say that" he says "but I'm not too keen on titles" 

"that's why they came all that way" says Bell to herself

"Arthur would've went all that way for any of his men" shrugs Richard

 Bell just stares at him. At the indifferent way he said it. As if what Arthur did for him was nothing worth fussing over but Bell can't help the sudden feeling of...admiration that spreads through her. Admiration over the fact that Arthur was willing to travel all that way to rescue one of his men. It almost covered over the fact that she just saw him strangle someone. Almost. 

"Isn't Luke's Ar- King Arthur's friend?" she asks after something pops into her mind

"Why do you ask?" 

"he said he has no friends" 

"Luke is a lap dog" says Richard  

"they seem very close" 

"He's the only man Arthur trusts yet he still treats him like shit" he says "If I was Luke I'd leave him alone to his own devices" 

Bell furrows her brows and remembers that dreaded night she got attacked going to the cottage. Arthur angered Luke that night.... Bell suddenly remembers that they were talking about Katia but she can't for the life of her remember what they said about her. It was so long ago. There's definitely something going on there. She wonders if Arthur knows about it and how he would feel if he found out. 

"This is you" he says as they stop outside her door. She turns to him and he smiles. She smiles softly back. 

"thank you" she says "for walking me back"
