"K kiddo, let's get home," Wyatt said, ushering me out of the doctor's office. We drove home in silence.

I woke up to big arms holding me. I must've fallen asleep in the car. "Are we home?" I muttered, half asleep.

"Yea kid, you fell asleep in the car," Wyatt said.

I heard a mixture of good nights from my brothers as Wyatt took me upstairs. He put me in my comfy bed and left the room, leaving the door slightly cracked.

The next morning I woke up and my head was killing me. I slowly stood up and made my way downstairs.

I sat down on the end of the couch, resting my feet on the coffee table.

The front door opened, startling me. "Hey baby sis," Hayden said, plopping on the couch next to me.

"Uh hey," I said a little confused, "Why are you home? Don't you have work?"

"Yeah but I took it off today and tomorrow so I could stay home with you," he said, draping his arm around my shoulder.

"Oh ok," I said. I rested my head on his chest and we talked for a while. He made me breakfast and we had a nice time until the rest of the boys got home. This is how both days went, and by the end of the month my concussion was completely gone.

It was getting close to Christmas break and I was so excited.

"Morning, Emme," Wesley said to me as I came downstairs.

"Hey Wes," I said, "you know I have a super cool idea."

"Oh, God, that's never good," he said.

"Oh shut up," I rolled my eyes, "I was thinking we could throw a Christmas party."

"Hmmm, that sounds like a good idea, I bet Josh and Brady would defenitely want to. We'd just have to get Blake, Wyatt, and Hayden's permission."

"Yeah we could throw such a lit party! Don't forget the alcohol!" I said excitedly.

"Uh-uh, not for you," Wes said, his arms crossed.

"What! That's unfair, don't tell me you guys didn't drink at 14!"

"Of course we did, but you're not going to. No way in hell you'll get even a sip of alcohol."

"Ugh whatever, we're going to be late for school," I said angrily grabbing my bag and slipping on my Uggs.

I sat in the car for about five minutes waiting for my brothers to get in.

I waited on my phone when suddenly a text popped up.

Hey, babe.

I texted back.

Hi baby what's up?

Now I know what you're thinking. Who are you texting? My boyfriend.

Does my family know about him? Absolutely NOT. If any of them ever found out I'd be dead within 30 seconds.

Meet me in our usual spot same time ok?

Ok

After that I deleted the conversation from my phone. No way I'm risking getting caught texting a boy.

As soon as I put my phone down the car door was opened.

Josh hopped into the drivers seat and Brady got in the back. Wes opened the door to the passenger seat where I was sitting.

"Get in the back, you know the rules, sis," he said to me.

"I got here first!" I yelled.

"Yeah but I'm older and I have the power to take away your Netflix," he said, "backseat, now."

No! Not my Netflix.

"I hate you," I said and crawled over the seat into the back. Wesley threw my bag over and it hit me in the head.

"Ouch asshole, there's three textbooks in there!" I yelled out in agony.

"Hey watch you mouth Emerson, and Wesley, stop throwing things at your sister," said Josh, taking on his role as older brother.

"Yes dad," Wesley said with a smirk, earning him a punch in the arm.

I went back to texting on my phone, slightly turned so Brady couldn't see.

"Who you texting baby sis?" he asked annoyingly poking my arm.

"First, don't call me that, second, none of your business," I spat.

"Ohhh is it that time of the month?" Brady asked.

Should.
Not.
Have.
Said.
That.

I calmly put my phone in my lap, and looked him in the eye.

He had this annoying smirk that made me want to punch him.

So I did...

Right in the jaw.

"What the fuck!" Brady yelled, clutching his face.

We stopped at a red light and Josh turned around, "Emerson Grace Jones, what is wrong with you? Do I need to call Blake or Wyatt?"

"Oh so he's aloud to cuss but I'm not? Bullshit!" I protested.

"Not the point," Josh said, "you didn't have to punch him."

"Hey! He brought my period into this for no reason! My emotions shouldn't have to do with the fact that my uterus is slowly shedding itself out, and I have to just let it do that and suffer the pain of cramps, and not to mention that my hormones are all over the pla-"

"Okay, okay chill out, don't do it again," Josh said, turning back around to drive.

"Are you kidding?" Brady asked, "She just punched me she can't be off the hook!"

"Brady we'll deal with it when we get home, don't be such a baby," Josh said.

I stuck my tongue out at him and he rolled his eyes back.

We finally arrived to school and I went to first period. About half way through I wrote a bathroom pass and then went to the spot.

I checked to see if anyone was looking then quickly entered the janitors closet.

"Hey baby," I said wrapping my arms around him.

"Hey, babe," he smiled and kissed my lips.
