" Rain, I don't mind.
Shine, the weather's fine.
I can show you
that when it starts to rain,
everything's the same.
I can show you. "

===============================

It's been roughly a week or so since John and I had lunch together and we've been hanging out after school pretty much every day since. We wrote some little songs and poems, listened to a few records and walked around John's neighborhood. Our friendship is beginning to come along well.

However, there is a little trouble in paradise.

"Geo!" I called out to George, but he kept ignoring me and shooing me away with his hand.

"Can ye please jus tell me why yer so angry wi' me?!" I cried out. "I'm shakin' like a bloody leaf, here!"

George didn't pay me any attention, he acted as if I wasn't standing right there next to him. I pleaded and pleaded until the man finally gave in.

"It doesn't feel so good, does it, McCartney?" George asked sardonically as we walked out of the school building.

I paused for a moment in confusion, "What are ye talkin' about?"

George raised his brow, as if to say I should clearly know. ...And I think I do?

"Oh, c'mon now. Ye don't think I've gone and replaced-"

"Oh, Paul, ye've been ignorin' me all week! Only to hangout wi' some conceited bastard, that's all! Even though jus a couple days ago, ye and I were chattin' shit abou' him for being a right prick to ye!" George cried out. "Ye have replaced me, Paul!"

"I know how ye feel, I get it, but-" I tried to reason with George, but it was no use.

"Now ye two know eachother like the back of ye own hands! Christ... It's really weird, actually. It kinda makes me wonder if-" George went on and on...

"George! Listen to me!" I pleaded with him. My face went as pale as a ghost. "Yer my bestmate, and John won't eva' change that!"

"Oh, bugger off wi' that, McCartney!" George stormed off in the opposite direction of me.

Shortly after that tangent, John came up from behind me, "Oh boy, what's up wi' him, now?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "He's, uh... jealous of ye, ...like ye said."

"Well, that's no good..." John sighed. "But... Ye can't say I didn't tell ye so!"

I rolled my eyes, "The poor sod thinks I've replaced him... wi' you." I trembled a little.

"Now, that's jus rubbish, why can't we all be... at the very least, tolerant of eachother?" John scoffed.

"I wish. But Geo has always been... quite... opinionated. Protective. Particular. Like yer friend Stu, but less of a prick abou' it."

"Ah, right." John stiffled a laugh after hearing my remark towards his mate.

I looked down the road. "So, now what?"

"We can always head back to my place? ...Or even yer's, maybe?" John suggested.

"We haven't been to my place yet, have we? And plus, my Da' won't be home for a few more hours today. So... Alright, yeah... Let's go!" I joyfully accepted that offer.

Once we got to my house, I opened the door and greeted Mikey.

"Ello, Mikey! This is John, a mate from school." I smiled as I introduced my friend.
