A few days later...

We make sure to come to the orphanage every time we get a day off. We talk with the headmistress about what will happen with the facility and the children hereafter...

"Headmistress. Have you found a place to take the children?"

"There are places that will take two to three, but, all of them...I'm still looking at a few places, how about you Tegemi?"

"I negotiated with the construction company...but didn't get a good response."

"Right..."

Honestly....we hasn't made much progress.

"What should we do...?"

Just then...

The Ryo and Aki suddenly walks in the room unexpectedly.

"What's wrong children?"

(Hmn? Everyone brought their pudding snacks?)

As I notice this, Ryo one of the twins lead, gives his pudding to Tegemi.

"Big sister...you can have my pudding."

"Hm?"

"Big brother, you can have mine."

"W-why?"

"Because...you've had it really rough, lately."

"Have a pudding, and cheer up!"

We struck in awe by the children's action.

It seems the children noticed something big was going on...

"Awe, Thanks Everyone!" said Tegemi with a gentle smile while she hugged both Ryo and Aki tenderly,

"Whoa! Big Sister's chest is really soft!" said Ryo

(Oi!)

And she encourages the children with a big smile.

"Thanks everyone, we've cheered up."

"In return, place with us a lot after you're done with your snacks okay?" she asked cheerfuly.

"Right, big brother?"

"M-me?!"

"Yayyyyy!!!" cheered the children.

Being with the children, brings joy in our hearts.

I really....want to protect these kids somehow...

But I'm all out of options, this is not about money anymore they'd bought the land paid for the remaining balance of the orphanage own those snicky bastards.

(I guess being here cheering them up, is enough...for now.)

And so...

We play with the children, till the break of dawn. Driving away from the orphanage and going home.

"We haven't made progress again today..."

"For now, all we can do I be there with them."

We both sigh in defeat, as we return to the Famille'.

And then, the usual Famille' members greeted us,

"Oh, welcome back."

"You both look exhausted again today." Greeted Rei and Raika.

"How's the kids?, did you found a place for them?" asked Kasumi worriedly.

As I cast my eyes down, Miyoko speaks up cheerfully.

"Cheer up will you, think positively I'm sure we'll find a way!"

"See here, have some pudding and cheer up" she offered.

"Whoa! Are you okay Miyoko?"

"Huh? What do you mean." She asked

Then she noticed the girls giving her strange looks.

"You're offering me your food?"

"Yeah what of it?" she asked as she narrowed her brow.

"Just wondering if you're feeling okay since you don't normally offer you food to other people , I mean it's food after..."

Even before he finished his sentence Miyoko gives him a good smack in the face.

"Do you want me to punch you?!"

"Y-you already did." I said while I lay in the floor beaten and defeated.

And everyone in Famille' breaks out in laugh.

With that, the dreden atmosphere slowly fades away...

(Come to think of it, this place and the orphanage is quite similar...)

A warm place where strangers come together and support each other as family.

Wait....

This might work....

I get a flash of inspiration,

"That's it!"

"Wh-Wh-What! Shouting so suddenly , what's wrong with you?!" blurted Yomiko caught by surprise.

"uh! Oh, s-sorry about that."

"Why are you suddenly...acting so suspicious?" wondered Kasumi

While hiding it, I gather my thoughts about the idea I just had.

(We might need to sacrifice a few things but this way, we won't need the help of Tegemi's father.)

(And the orphanage children can all stay together...)

(But...)

"Mina? Is something wrong?" wondered Tegemi.

"It's nothing...sorry for startling you."

"You're not thinking something perverted in that head of yours again." Said Miyoko

(that's something Yomiko would say.)

"Yeah, you're acting suspicious, you're plotting something perverted again aren't you." Cited Yomiko

"Again? Come on, I'm not some sort of fiendish pervert who dwells on planning some scheme."

(I need to plan this through, I can't say this to them until I made a few steps on my own...)

However, that night...
