It was the evening before Manik's birthday and nandini and preeti were sitting in her room talking.
N : so u never told me about what is going on between you and my brother.
P : really
N : really spill, u have certainly avoided enough. Why the longing stares and no eye contacts.
P : I like Adi
Nandini splutters the water she was drinking and looks at her in shock.
N : you like Adi seriously
P : yes and trust me I really don't know how. I mean I guess I thought he was hot and all
N: okay I don't need to know this he is my brother
P : oh come on half of the college girls are practically drooling all over him
N : someone's jealous. Although I don't think they are the ones u should be worried about
P : yeah exactly my point, Ruhi
Nandini nods in acceptance and looks at her with a understanding face.
N : Ruhi
P : I know adi and Ruhi are best friends, childhood crush and all but seriously I just don't get Adi
N : for the record I think about Ruhi a crush is what it is just a crush, and adi probably doesn't like her back. I would know he is my brother. I can ask him too if you want. He won't lie to me about anything
P : no, I want him to figure out on his own, if Ruhi is the one he wants or
N: you, I get it. Anyways another of my friend likes Ruhi so I guess it's quite clear for you. But I love to be a cupid and I am gonna bring you guys together
P : forget about my drama, tommorow is manik's birthday so excited
N : extremely, after so many years I am going to be with him and I want it to be special.
P : I am sure it will be. And for him his princess's presence is merely enough.
Nandini blushes and Preeti wiggles her eyebrows
N : shut up
P : fine fine I am going, good night
N : night bestie

Manik is sound asleep on his bed unaware of the person entering his room through the balcony. The person sleathily comes in and looks over Manik. A smile gracing her face. And who else could be except for Manik's princess.
Nandini takes the thinks out of her bag and starts decorating the room his red heart shaped balloons. She also lights a few scented candles, giving the room a very cosy vibe. She slips past the door and brings the cake, she had managed to keep in their fridge the day before with nyonika's help.
