Death

I woke up my head spinning my vision blurry heart racing covered in sweat my breathe caught in my throat panting slightly I got up from my bed checking the clock on my wall to see its 3 in the morning shaking my head I went downstairs to grab a glass of water when I turned the lights on to see Edward on the floor covered in blood and kol on the couch drinking bourbon smirking at me this wasn't a nightmare I was in shock I ran to Edwards lifeless body on the floor trying to wake him as if he was asleep
"Edward wake up" I kept repeating over and over my vision started to get blurry and I felt the warm tears roll down my face I was sobbing now knowing that he was dead he was long gone I couldn't do anything about it I turned to look at kol screaming at the top of my lungs

"WHY WHY DID YOU DO THIS" I tried to stand up but my nees was to weak so I dropped to the floor sobbing

"why did you have to kill him" I said my voice was bearly audible

"Well darling he was getting in the way plus I was just bored" kol said walking towards me

I used all my Strength to stand up
I finally managed to mostly because I was using a desk for support

"Kol I will kill you you fu-"

"No you won't because I've done you a favor meir" he said smirking

"How is killing my boyfriend a favor" I snapped

"Well because he wasn't the innocent guy you thought he was" he said getting more serious now "I heard his mother demanding that he breaks up with you because your a demon" he said

"What?" I said confused

"She knows you're a witch and she Dosnt want her son to date one and he agreed to dump you" kol said

I was in disbelief how dare he just make up the most stupidest reason to kill my boyfriend

"Your sick" I said

"So are you that's why we make a great couple" he smirked

"The only reason why you killed Edward was because you wanted me back?!" I yelled walking towards him to punch him

"Meredith stop-"

"I hate you I hate you I hate yo-"
I kept on hitting him until I fell to the floor crying
Kol bent down beside me

"No you don't" He said

"Fuck you I hope you die I hate you so much I don't want to see your face ever again get out" I said through sobbs
I looked up to see him and I could've swear I saw his face show a sigh of sadness but it left as quickly as it came

"You really feel that way?"

"Yes" I said

"Fine I'll bloody leave you alone to Roth by yourself" he said walking towards the door and shutting it angrily the sound of the door shutting echoed through the apartment and the sounds of my sobbs

I've stayed in this very spot since 5 hours staring at the body in front of my I was no longer crying I had no more tears left I just felt empty void even
I wanted to scream but I knew that wouldn't help so I decided to call his parents to tell them the dreadful news
I picked up the phone hesitating to dial the number the phone in my hands shaking from nervousness what was I going to say how was I doing to tell his parents their son was dead so I clicked on the number it was ringing I was there shaking from the nerves
Finally after what felt like years they answered

"Hello" his mother said

"Uh ms James?" I asked

"Yes who is this?" She asked

"Um it's Meredith..."

"Ugh what do you want I'm quite busy" she said in a annoyed voice

"This is very important"

"Well speak up"

"It's about Edward there was a.. a intruder and h- he tried to stop him but the intruder sh- shot him an- and he's dead" I said studdering so bad
The other line was silent I thought she hung up

"What n- no your joking" she said in shock

"I'm not joking I wish I was" I said

"No no my son isn't dead h-"

"I'm so sorry ms James" I said hanging up the phone on her and calling the cops
