Related to #2: Shape and Landscape
This comes to a bit of history you may not have thought of. But for some of you, it might be important.
You all know Earth was hit by meteors and stuff and then the moon was formed and now we have tides. Earthquakes broke apart the land when it was just all one big continent. Then there was climate change and floods and then islands were formed. Also volcanoes made islands, too.
So, how did a majority of the lands in your world form?
Even if it is Earth as we know it, does it still retain the history of how Earth was formed? Were there meteors and volcanoes and Earthquakes?
How long did it take until life emerged? (I know you sciency writers will like this question.)
