He laid, in a daze
As he stared at the sky, stars ablaze
He yearned for his hand and the stars to meet
To finally be able to feel their heat
But he can't
As beneath the murky cold waters
He was trapped
Like a sheep in the slaughter
Kidnapped
And Entangled in the seaweed
Like hands
Keeping him from acceding
To the land
And they held him hostage
In the darkness
Refusing to let him be freed
Ignoring him as he plead
Although
He is aware
That If he tried
He could reach the air
And ascend to the stars
However
From being so far
Stuck down below
He now knows
To just admire the sight
From where the light
May not shine
He believes that
He doesn't deserve to be with them
And that he should be glad
That the view of the light
Is something he ever had
I decided to actually make it rhyme today... well I wrote this at night so it's more like "tonight"
