Chapter 26

Maya's pov

I quickly opened my eyes and sat up and then I could feel Stefan sand on my shoulders I looked up and there he was I felt more calmer now that my big bro was here even though he is only older by 3 minutes.

" what happened" I asked still catching my breath

" you blacked out from a werewolf bite klaus fed you his blood and he just put you on the couch and he compelled me to not move until I know your OK" he said and I giggled

" sounds like Nik" I sat up and then I saw and uncomfortable face on Stefan

" what's up Stefan" I asked

" you and Nik I know obviously your still technically married because you didn't get divorced but there isn't anything going on between you is there" he asked

" no Stefan" I told him a nd he raised his eyebrows " OK me and Nik we're friends that's all now we've been a lot of things friends with benefits, girlfriend and boyfriend and husband and wife and now... We're just friends" I told him

" when you tell him that speech I hope he believes that better than I do" he grinned then he was heading to the door and stopped "  oh and since you too are such great friends now maybe you can talk to you its been awhile since he's been stuck in his room."

I'd never been the siblings for cheering up poeple Damon or Stefan was probably better but I will try anyway. I tried to think what makes me feel better than I thought of it... Ice cream.  I got two tubs of ice cream and I went up to his room where he was downing a bottle. Doesn't surprise me at all. I put the rubs down beside him and I grabbed the bottle his hands

" I know this is ironic coming from me but you do not have to drink your problems away to make yourself feel better" I told him

" I remember how you would pleasure me to make me feel better" Nik smirked

" we were friends with benefits Nik. I'm not the one for cheering another person up but the Internet suggests to cheer yourself up eat ice cream" I handed him the tub and a spoon and he just smiled

" does the internet suggest why my hybrids are dying" he said coldly

" I'm going to pretend you didn't say that. What you could say is thank you maya and I'm sorry for being a dic" I said eating ice cream

" thank you maya and im sorry for being a dic" he said to me

" your welcome" I smiled " and it's fair you did save my life and Stefan wouldn't come up here"

" well it's like you said who would put up with my whining" he smiled

" where are we going tomorrow" I asked

" Chicago" he simply said " we're meeting galoria maybe she can help with my hybrid problem"

" wait what's the date " I asked him

" July the third why?" he asked

" tomorrow July 4th we have to go see the fireworks" I told him

" we went to see the fireworks every year maya you dragged me along to them friends with benefits or married and there tedious. You've never actually told me why we had to go" he said taking a spoon full of ice cream then putting it on the table as did I.

" I don't want to say it stupid" I told him

" please" he said

" fine it was when I was human every year fourth of July we would go see the fireworks. We would have this boat we would sail on to see them from a distance. Mom always used to hate it because it made her hair big Stefan and Damon would be throwing up at the side. My dad would scream at us for not helping and then we would try to help he would scream at us for say we're doing it wrong. " then my voice got softer " but when the fireworks started everybody just shut up and we would all sit together. Damon and I used to hug while watching the fireworks because we would be both freezing cold. Before my mom died she would always make me promise her that when I was married I would go see the fireworks with my husband  so I did "

Nik was cupping my cheeck and I felt electricity. I looked up at him and he kissed me. My head was telling me i shouldn't but my heart was screaming for yes! In this situation I listened to my heart. It wasn't like before though when it was just raw this time it was passionate. I kissed him passionately as he did with me his lips made it down to my neck leaving wet kisses. We made our way to his bed and I took off his shirt showing his perfectly sculpted six pack. He took of my top and our lips found our way back to each other

" are you sure about this love" he asked

" yeah I'm sure" I kissed him and he eagerly kissed me back and we ended up having sex... A couple of times.
I know that Stefan and everybody else will be mad but I found myself falling for him again
