TIMELINE → Pre Spider-Man: Homecoming - Spider-Man: Homecoming
CARTER HERNÁNDEZ had a life that seemed perfectly normal. His mother worked five days a week from seven to ten, his father was nowhere to be found after he fled when Carter's mother revealed she was pregnant - and he was a teenage werewolf due to said deadbeat dad's genes.
Ever since he found out at the age of ten, when his biology revealed itself, he tried to keep his life as normal as he could. His mother would drive him out to a cabin on Long Island, leave him despite not wanting to, and return nearly two days later with a smile and a bag of some fast food restaurant coated in grease.
But then one day their carefully calculated plans misfired. His mom got called into work to cover her coworker's shift, given the ultimatum of either doing it or getting fired. She couldn't get fired, between hers and Carter's job, hers supported them the most. So, Carter received a frantic phone call saying to, somehow, make it to the cabin on Long Island before it got too dark.
Truth be told, he finally did get there - after a shift while he was running during a mad dash to Long Island - while somehow not losing it entirely and making it to the relative area of the cabin.
Peter Parker wished he'd chosen any other time to go on patrol, because when he saw the teen shift in the alley, he's almost certain he died inside.
FACECLAIM → tyler posey as carter hernández
❝ please never call me a furry again, peter, that's like me calling you an insect. ❞

EXTRA.
→ carter and his mother literally had no idea he was a werewolf until he was ten, because his father conveniently left that out.
→ carter's mom is amazing! she loves her son so much, but she does understand she has to leave during the fool moon. don't change that!
→ carter is friends with flash. he's smart, but does play football, which is how the met. carter never stopped the taunting towards peter, but he did tell them to lay off sometimes or give the guy a break. flash is his best friend, so it's hard to say he cringes whenever flash does anything like that.
→ peter was on patrol when he saw it (carter running down an alley, shifting while running). needless to say, peter hasn't been able to get that out of his head.
→ peter doesn't tell ned, because even ned wouldn't believe him. it's utterly wild and some weird cliche from twilight where the super popular quarterback is a secret werewolf.
→ when peter does tell carter, carter gets very defensive and threatening, as anyone would. don't write that out, that's a very pivotal scene for the two, because it shows peter that carter isn't messing around, but also that he's frightened.
