After school, I met up with John in parking lot by myself, watching as the other students silently mock me.

If I ever find Stu, he's gonna get a Hell of an ear-full from me.

Why would he tell the school about John and I? Just why? When John threatened him the first time, he was running for his bloody life, now he thinks he can handle it all? Pathetic one, he is.

Then, in the distance, I saw my teddyboy with chestnut hair begin to approach me with his hands slid into his pockets. My face instantly brightened up at the sight of him, causing me to wave in return.

"...Is it true, Paul?" A popular blonde bird named Cynthia asked me, lightly pulling at my arm in order to grab my attention.

"Uh- Is what true?" I asked, turning to her.

"Wh- What Stu said today? Is it true?" She asked in a shy whisper.

"What?! No, it's not true!" I scoffed, "The bloke is jus jealous that John kicked him outta the band, is all. ...He's gone mad."

"Hm, sounds like somethin' Stu would do... but to call ye queer? And say yer... shaggin' John..? That's a little far, no?" She asked as John approached us, finally.

"Way too far." John said, adjusting his sleeves.

"John! Yer back! So, uh... What'd the counselor say?" I asked.

"Well, since I 'initiated' the fight, I've got after school detention, today." John said with anger while lighting a cigarette. "They said I gotta get back inside by 3. So, I guess can't make it to practice today."

I sighed and stared down at the pavement as Cynthia stood there next to us, awkwardly.

"Well, anyway, I best be goin', good luck to ye guys on yer band!" She waved off.

"The whole school's been askin' me if we're..." John trailed off.

"I know, that's why Cyn was here talkin' to me." I mumbled. "She's in-the-know when it comes to everything."

"I wish I would've done more to Stu than jus break his damn nose." John clenched his fist like he did before. "Let 'im off way too easy."

"Although ye left the man damn-near beggin' for his life, I agree." I chuckled. "What're we gonna do wi' out ye at band practice, Johnny?"

John ensured no one was around before kissing my forehead, "I believe in ye lads, yer capable. Ye don't need me."

I shoved him a little playfully, "Don't say that! 'Course we do, yer John fuckin' Lennon!"

"Ah... Ye'll figure somethin' out, right?" John patted my back.

He winked, "...Only joking, ofcourse. Christ, ye know me so well, don't ye? Meet me at Ring's by 3:30-ish, I'll be outta here by then, I'm sure. Well. I'll sneak out, actually." John continued.
