Chapter 5-Retaliate

Coming back from lunch, a beautiful woman walked through the entrance of a big building. Brushing her hair with her fingers through one swift moment, she continued her rhythmic walk. Her pumps clicked in a calming sequence. Sad though, only she could hear it. Putting on an enchanting yet alluring smile, the woman kept her chin up at all times, refusing to answer even the slightest question the paparazzi made.

Of course she held herself proud, she had just created a huge hit. In a couple of minutes her name was at the top searches on the web, her song had received numerous praises. People were astonished with the woman's hidden charm. She had so much talent. Thank god it wasn't wasted in the company she was once in. Other than that, having six bodyguards to make way for her in the sea of reporters made things easier to deal with.

The news of the popular singer joining another company, had taken a blow on everyone. It was so unexpected. After all, she joined an unknown company in the end. So unpredictable. But her vocals, the way she explored her range, her potential, was way greater than they had ever expected. Moreover, for a young woman to be able to sing with such power was even more amazing. How could Potter Entertainment keep this diamond hidden? Had they lost her mind?

Entering the building, she noticed the relief on the staff's face. They had been waited for a moment to take action. The news were spreading like wild fire, and they were anxious for what to do next. Their boss was more capable than they thought.

Arriving at her office, Luna stared at both woman in front of her.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" She asked with a small smile peeking through her lips.

Looking at the nervous faces in both woman, she couldn't help but giggle. It was normal for her to deal with such stress, the entertainment business had many scandals, and in her last life, many were related to her. So over the years, she just got used to the procedure of what to do.

"You were right. All of your predicaments came true." Camille said, still in awe. " So what do we do now?"

Luna sat down on her chair, opening the computer, seeing her email glitch from all the new ones that arrived.

"We wait. " She said crossing her legs and going back to work. "This is only the start. Just refuse any calls that come from Potter Entertainment, and from Derek. And from Nancy Krew. " She said, leaving both woman confused.

"Nancy Krew?" Sam asked.

In all her life in the entertainment business, she had learned a bit of the dark side, but still it surprised her that the A- grade model would be involved in her boss' scandal.

"Yes, also, try to get the public outside to calm down. I will be hosting an interview soon on Breakfast with Gabby. I will explain most things there. Release it at the official web site. Also, try to get in touch with them and provide them with the questions they asked. They are very meticulous with what they will be presenting. They like to keep a certain flow. Just give them what they want, don't mention the divorce, it will probably be their tricky question. This way we will be prepared for the most probable outcome. "

Writing down her words, she agreed.

" Make sure you add that there will be an auditions program, It would be great if they could announce it for us. Free publicity is always welcomed. Just check in with the tech department if the arrangements for the website are ready. We can start right away with it."

Even though Camille and Sam were still in shock with the outcome of a simple song release, they couldn't help but feel ashamed of their actions. If they were startled by something so simple, how could they promise this woman she would become number one in the world? But still, reaching the top 30 on the charts in a mere hour, was not something everyone could pull off.
