-Aaron's POV-

- - -

It was such a beautiful morning, and Me and Connor were about to meet up with Hank at Chicken Feed. We walked along the sidewalk, holding hands and taking in the cold but bright morning. The sound of cars passing by, and people rushing to get to their destination. It wouldn't hurt to stop and just listen for a moment, wouldn't it?

As we kept walking, I looked to Connor. He was wearing his normal android outfit. I didn't care if people looked at us. Androids are free now and deserve to be. Finally, we saw Hank in the distance, arms crossed as he stood there waiting for us. He tapped his foot impatiently as it was a habit to him.

We walked to him and he turned in our direction, arms still crossed. Once we stopped walking, he set his arms to his side. He gave us a warm smile and I gave one back. I'm guessing Connor did too. Hank walked closer to me, put a hand on my shoulder before bringing me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around him.

"God, I was so worried when I saw you two on the news." I felt one of Hank's arms leave me to bring Connor in.

I chuckled.

"I always new you were crazy, but not that crazy." Hank also chuckled. "So,.." Hank pulled away from us. "How does it feel to be free, Connor?" He asked.

"It feels... Nice. Nice to do anything I want without any orders. Nice to feel things whenever I want. Nice to be myself with the people I love and care about." He smiled at me, then at Hank.

"Speaking about caring of others, Aaron, aren't you cold in that thing?" Hank pointed at my leather jacket. "And also you've been wearing the same thing for years!" He crossed his arms.

"Hey! What's so wrong with my leather jacket?" I also crossed my arms.

"Isn't it time to change into something different?" He gave me a look.

"Since when did you care about what I wear?" I squinted.

"Tch..." He scoffed.

"Well, let's just go to some place warm?" Connor suggested.

I looked at Hank and he shrugged. I looked back at Connor and nodded.

"Sure."

We arrived at a café nearby to warm up a bit and relax. A waitress sat us down at a table near the window which i'd have to say, it was a pretty view. People and androids rushing back and forth down the side walks and cars driving by. It wouldn't hurt to just stop and look around for a moment, would it?

"Just let me know when you guys are ready to order, okay?" I was pulled back into reality by the waitress' voice.

"Alright, thank you." Hank nodded his head and the waitress left us to decide what we wanted.

"So, Aaron, what are you getting?" Connor looked at me.

"Hmm..." I skimmed the menu before my eyes stopped at one. "I'll have this one." I pointed to the drink I wanted.

"What about you, Connor?" Hank put his menu down.

"Remember, I don't eat or drink." Connor reminded.

"Well, technically you do drink because you drink thirium?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Alright, you got me there." Connor chuckled.

"Ugh, reminds me of when you tasted the evidence throughout the cases..." Hank said in disgust.

"Sorry about that." Connor smile awkwardly while rubbing the back of his head.

A few minutes later, the waitress came back to our table.

"Are you guys ready to order?" She asked.

"Yes we are." I answered. "Uh," I picked up my menu and showed her what I wanted. "I'll get this, thank you."

"Alright." She said while writing it down.

"I'll get a regular coffee." Hank said to her.

"Okay, and you?" She looked at Connor.

"Um, do you by any chance have thirium..?" Connor asked.

She gave a confused look.

"Oh, uh, blue blood." He tried to clear the confusion.

She was still confused before she understood.

"Oh! You're an... android? I honestly don't know if we do... But just in case, I'll check..?" She said a bit awkwardly before leaving, having us to wait.

I sighed.

"Just give us some time." Hank told Connor.

"It's okay, Hank. I understand." He nodded.

"They have free wifi! And it's quick too!" I said in excitement, not paying attention to their conversation.

They both chuckled at me, making me confused.

"What? What's so funny?" I tilted my head in confusion.

Minutes later, the waitress came back with only two orders.

"I'm very sorry, but we don't have... um... Blue blood." She scratched the back of her head.

"It's alright. It's not like I was low of it." Connor just smiled while the waitress placed me and Hank's drink in front of us.

Then she left. I honestly felt bad for him. I sipped my drink in a bit of sadness but suddenly remembered something. I smiled and set the thought aside for now.
