Almost there
You whispered to yourself, about to reach the village you birthed long ago, Hylia. And yes this is a nice little hint to go read my Loz Link x reader once I publish it.
You rushed through the bramble and leaves till you reached your destination. This part would be relatively easy for you but a bit hard and confusing for others.
To avoid outsiders and potential harm, you casted a special spell or enhancement that keeps a barrier casted around the village that will not let anyone who is not a native inside it.
This precaution barrier also wards against natural phenomena like tornadoes or floods.
You walked straight through the barrier with no resistance, and enter the huge field used for combat practice.
"Ah it feels great to be home!"
You sat on the grass stretched your limbs throughly before being greeted by a fancy dressed female.
"And who might you be? The current head xelor maybe? Or the current chief?"
The woman just bowed in your presence and so did the others behind her. They must really like their formality.
"Oh goddess (y/n), it is a blessing to have you reside in the village once again."
You just growled at the formality before picking the wax out of your ear.
"I cannot her those who bow their head in my presence. It seems that I have gone deaf."
The woman took the hint and scrambled to get up on her feet. She also ushered the others behind her to rise as well.
"I am terribly sorry, let me intoduce myself. I am Flint, the current xelor and chief of the village."
You took this time to circle and observe Flint. She was rather tall for a woman and had short straight ash coloured hair. She wore shorts and a long over shirt, the combat but fancy type.
"Your attire could use some work but it's still good nonetheless."
Flint sighed in relief before guiding you to the village where great memories were held.
...
"... and this is the town hall as well as my place of residence and town meetings."
The building was grand and old, the right type of aesthetic that the whole town held. It was mainly made of stone and some wood. Although the walls had cracks in it, it seemed to be fairly sturdy, especially after your little test.
~~~~~
A few minutes earlier
~~~~~"If I am correct, these buildings are hunderds of thousands of years old."
"Yes what about it mam?"
You suddenly deliver a powerful kick to the interi or wall that shakes the ground but not the building.
"Huh so their sturdy alright. Good, I don't want this thing collapsing."
~~~~~
"Please never scare us like this again madam."
Flint shook as she spoke to you, remenbering the event that happened a few moments ago. Reaking havoc was your best expertise.
"Will do, but I need to meet the rest of the village first."
You were a bit worried about the state of the village besides the visual appearance. You were a bit worried about possible unfair and unjust ruling.
"Yes, I will summon the village heads immediately. Please relax here until then."
Flint let you in den before leaving. You decided the best idea would be to catch up on some rest even if your eyes burned like a million suns.
As you were closing your eyes you felt a sudden weight added onto your stomach. You, being a bit startled and all, jumped up with wide eyes.
You looked down at your legs and saw someone you haven't seen in awhile, (f/n).
You had sent (f/n) back to Hylia in fear that the flood might break the old weakened barrier. Thankfully from your inspection of the village, that would never happen.
"Nice to see you too, (y/n)."
(f/n) had look tired and battered, but nonetheless happy to see you. Maybe putting a lethargic fox up to the task of protecting and surveying the village wasn't the best idea.
...
"People of Hylia, we are joined today by or founder (y/n). She was the one who called upon this council."
Flint continued explaining the events that occurred that day, noticeably skipping over the part when you kicked the wall.
You cleat your throat before stating your claim.
"My cherished children, I have currently parted with my fiance and will not see him again for an undesirable amount of time after this upcoming battle. I will reside here during my time away from Yugo."
The council, of course devastatingly shooked, never would have thought you would seperate from Yugo. From what the ancient scribes spoke of, the two of you were lovers conjoined at the hip.
What could have cause such a rift between a relationship of over thousands of year old.
"I have two questions mam, may I speak?"
Flint asked you this simple question, to which you happily obliged. You already had guess at what those two questions were. Let's see if you were right.
"What will you be doing while you reside here, and why must you be apart form your beloved?"
You sighed and looked down at your feet. This was a bit sensitive and awkward to talk about, I mean, do you really want to answer that question.
Yes, yes you do.
"I will be honing my ancient spells while I reside here. And as for Yugo, lets just say that we have different ideals."
Your voice became noticeably quieter towards the end, making you sound weak and frail.
"I am deeply sorry for asking you such a troubling question, please take us much time as you need here."
Meanwhile in the Sadida Kingdom
"Come on Yugo, you can't go looking for (y/n)."
Adamai was trying to calm his brother, he didn't want to see him in such pain.
"I have to! I just can't let her like I loved Amalia!"
Yugo began to sob and started thinking about you. Your smile, your laugh, your sometimes weird appetite, they were all gone. They all were lost because of a stupid mistake he made.
"I know Yugo, but right now we have a world to save. And if we don't, she won't be here for you to come back to."
Yugo nodded and wipped his tears, knowing what Adamai said was true. If he didn't save the world then there would be no you.
"Alright, lets go to that meeting. We can't save the world by ourselves."
~To be Continued~
I'm sorry about updates being delayed, I was finishing up a chapter of a book I was writing. I was thinking about publishing that book as an official book so I've been working really hard on it.
If you're wondering why it took so long to write the first chapter, I checked how long the average chapter is and it between 3,000 to 5,000 words per chapter. So that been keeping my hands full, I also have to check for spelling errors and have someone proof read it too.
I swear November is already killing me. Every November there is a writing challenge for writers to write 50,000 words and I already have 3,000 down.
But don't worry, I'm going to be just working on this book until November rolls around.
Ciao,
Yoshi
