Chapter 28- Best Professor

>Harry's POV>

I was seated at the staff table with Draco as everyone flowed in, Draco and I were in a pretty deep conversation "so now lets talk about ducks" i say and he laughed "did you know they don't have blood vessels in the feet so that's why they can be in the super cold water and they don't feel it"(This is true by the way i just like really wanted to tell someone this so here you go C:) i say and he nodded "wow, that sounds amazing" he said and i laughed, everyone found their seat. I look at the Gryffindor table and saw Sophie who had her head in her hands and looked like she was crying.. "baby.." i whispered and motioned him to Sophie and he nodded, i stood up and flattened my robe and walked over to her, everyone watched. I looked at them and glared, they went to their food.. I crouch down and put a hand on her back "What's wrong dear?" i whisper and she looked up, her eyes were puffy and she had hot tears on her face.. "come with me please" i whispered and she stood up and i took her to the back of the great hall behind the staff table, i sat her down on the soft couch and she wiped her face "what's wrong?" I say and she looked up at me "my.. dad.. he sent me this letter.." she slurred out and held out the parchment, i took it to read it:

Dear Sophia,
Mary and I have been thinking and i think it's the best idea to put you in an orphanage, your mother and I said it was a good idea because she isn't ready to have kids and she wants time to spend with me, i have to say that this is a good idea. You are a witch and we are normal people, it is best fit if you don't come home for the holidays.

I read it over 3 more times in disbelief and i crouch down in front of her and hold her small hands after discarding the paper "listen" i whispered and she looked up "this might be heart breaking and makes you feel broken like they never cared for you, but i want you to look around you and realize that you are in the best place that you can be. Hogwarts saved me Sophie, and i want it to save you too" i say and she smiled slightly "only one person could help me when i was broken 4 years ago and he is now my husband, i want you to know that you can save yourself and you have to believe that others are trying to too" i say and she nodded "don't worry about going to the orphanage when summer comes around alright?" i say and she nodded slowly with a confused face, i smiled "you're coming home with me" i say and her eyes lit up from the pale color they were before "really?!" she said and i smiled "yes" i say slowly and she jumped up and hugged me, someone started clapping behind us and i stood up with her still in my arms and turned around "that was emotional" Draco said walking over to me and i smiled, he pecked my lips and i brushed Sophie's hair lightly "Thank you" she muffled into my shoulder and i smiled slowly swaying her "Hermione was right, you will be a great dad" Draco said and i blushed. "I want you to go eat now alright Sophie?" i say and she nodded, i put her down and walk her back to her seat, i keep the letter in my hand and i jumped back to the staff table and sit down "What that?" Draco says next to me and i showed him the letter and he nodded slowly "well one of the spare rooms will be taken up" he said and i smiled, he kissed my hand and we started to eat.

"Professor Harry is the best teacher ever" i heard some say in the hall and i smiled "Professor Draco is so cool! he gives a sweets when we get his questions right!" some said making me laugh quietly "Professor Harry is so cool! i hope he's next years professor too!" someone said making my heart swell.. was i a good teacher?  "Professor Harry is my favorite teacher" a boy said and i smiled as i walked down the hall, i turned the corner and smiled at the girl who was reading in the grooves of the castle, on that small bench thing by the court yard. The silvery gold sun shinning through "Hi Sophie" i say walking to her and she looked up and smiled "Hi Professor" she said making me smiled more "want to come help me clean up the class room?" i say and she nods, she puts her book in her bag and slings in onto her shoulder, we walk to my class room and i pushed open the door. she puts her bag down and helps me push the desks back and i fix the chirping birds that were in their cages, i moved them so they were hanging and the few birds chirped happily "i was thinking of doing a unforgivable curse unit" i say as the paper on the floor disappeared "that would be cool, i only one though" she said and i nodded "thanks for helping out Sophie, you can take a seat class is going to start soon" I say and she nods and takes her seat in the front row. The door open a few seconds later and everyone came in, i smiled as everyone got in and took their seat eagerly to know what we were doing today; they do that everyday. The talking stopped once everyone sat down and i didn't even motion them to stop. Everyone was sitting up straight and had a happy smile on their faces, It was Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. "Alright, Today class we are going to talk about unforgivable curses" i say and everyone sat on the edge of their seats "Hermione, why don't you tell us what a unforgivable curse is" i say not even looking at the eager brunette, the class laughed and she smiled "The Unforgivable Curses are three of the most powerful and sinister spells known to the wizarding world.. there are 3 and they are super illegal" she said proudly and i nodded "anyone know any?" i say and hands shot up in the air "Noah?" i say slowly and he nodded "The Imperius curse" he said and i nodded "The Imperius cures.." i repeated turning around to the board "The Imperius curse is a curse to make something go into a dream like state and you do whatever you wish with them" i say bringing out a small leaf bug, i make it bigger and hold my wand to it "Imperio" i say and i drag my wand up and it goes up too "some people can resist this spell" i say making the small leaf bug fly around slowly "while others, cannot" i say putting the bug down on it's plate "what is another curse?" i say and a Hufflepuff boy rose his hand "Ah, Jax" i say and he blushed, his hands were shaking under the table "the.. the.. the Avada Kedavra curse.." he stuttered and i nodded "yes.. the Avada Kedavra curse, used by Voldemort on many muggles and magical beings, including myself" i say and a boy rose his hand in the back "how did you survive?" he said and i nodded "well, when Voldemort came to my house to kill My family because James Potter's -my father- friend betrayed him, my mum protected me and sacrificed herself for me, and since my mother did that it casted a protection on me for 17 years and when you are touched by a unforgiving curse and you live, it leaves a scar.. and i'm the only one" i say and i pull my hair back and everyone smiled slightly, i flatten my hair back down and took a breath "one last curse.." i say and Sophia slowly rose her hand "yes" i say and she took a breath in.. "Cruciatus curse" she slurred out and i nodded slowly, i walked around the front as i spoke "The Cruciatus cure is a torturing cure, used on one of my best friend's parents, and used by Voldemort many times, he used a vision of him torturing my Godfather; Sirius Black, so i would go to him.. but the two i'm talking about is Alice Longbottom and Frank Longbottom, they were tortured by a death eater to get information on an order long ago.. they wouldn't give in and they were tortured to insanity" i say and everyone was quiet, Sophie was looking down at her hands "now, for homework i'm not going to make you write a 5 page essay on 3 unforgiving curses, no i want 1 page; front and back, about 1 of these curses, you can chose any of these and i would like to read them. If you do it, it's a A. If you don't it's a F. Fair point yes?" i say and everyone nodded "I will give extra credit is it's actual information about the curse" i say and everyone whispered happily "you may start on it if you would like or you may talk" i say walking to Sophia's desk and everyone smiled "Sophie could you come talk to me please?" i say and everyone stopped whispering and she nodded, she stood up and i took her up the stairs "do not get out of your seats, talk to the people around you" i say and they nodded and went back to talking. I pushed open the door and she stepped in. I sat down at the desk and she sat on the opposite side "are you alright?" i say and she shrugged "is it okay if i pull you out of classes Friday to talk about how your week has been?" i say and she nodded slowly "i don't want you to think that i'm giving you counselling but i just want to help out, you seem sad for the past week and i want you to know that i'm here okay?" i say and she nodded happily "i'm always here" i say standing up and stepping around my desk and leaning down to give her a hug "thank you professor Harry" she muttered into my chest and i smiled. "Now lets get you into class before we have to dismiss yeah?" i say and she nodded, i released her and opened the door for her, everyone was still in their seats talking happily. Sophie skipped to her desk and sat down pulling out a piece of parchment and started writing on it. I smiled and Hermione stood up and walked over to me "yes Ms. Granger" i say and she smiled "professor, do the 8 year people have to do the paper?" she said and i rolled my eyes "no, i think i'm going to get a day on maybe Sunday or something and get a class that day for Defense against dark arts, maybe get Patronuses down and stuff like that" i say and she smiled "alright, thanks Professor" she said and i smiled and she skipped back to Ron who was groaning, i laughed and checked my watch, 1 minute till dismissal "Class dismissed" i say and they grabbed their bags and waved to me "Have a good day Professor!" they said as they left "you too" i call back and sit on a desk.. This is going to be a great year.

I walk up the stairs to Draco and I's bedroom after a day full of teaching. Fridays are great. I pass the message board and i walked backwards to read it "hmm" i read the papers on the board.. i have an idea.. "Hermione" i call and Hermione walked up to me with her books "I need a piece of paper please" i say and she holds up some parchment and i quickly scribble something down, i pin the notice onto the board and hugged Hermione and ran up the stairs.. Quidditch Practice Tomorrow... i love Hogwarts.

I wake up with Draco's around my waist and my legs bent into his "wake up love"  i say turning my head and kissed him, his eyes opened lustfully and i smiled "good morning baby" he hummed as his voice was husky and sensual "I have Quidditch coaching today" i say and he smiled, i sat up and he did too. I rubbed my eyes and Draco kissed my back lightly "mm" i hummed.. he went up my neck and to my lips, he slowly kissed me... i kiss him slowly making him smile "I love you handsome" he says making me blush "I love you too baby" i hum "let's get dressed yeah?" i say and he nodded, we rolled off the bed and got dressed.

I blow my whistle and everyone who was in the air came to a stop and flew down "Excellent work everyone, the list will be on the message board by Tuesday" i called and everyone wiped their heads from warm sweat, i gave everyone high fives as they went to change. "Professor!" someone called behind me and i turned around, Amara came running down as her silky hair danced behind her, she came to a stop and panted "Sophie.. i can't find her.. she isn't in the dorm" she breath and my eyes went big "she said something about someone picking on her in the hall and she like disappeared.. i-" i cut her off by nodding "i think i know where she is" i say thinking back to when Ron picked on Hermione in first year, i ran to the abandoned girl's bathroom and pushed the creaky door open. "Oh.. It's you" Myrtle said flying around me "sh" i whispered, there was light whimpering and i pushed open a door and Sophie was sat on the floor with her head in her knees as she hugged them "Sophie" i said quietly and she looked up, hot tears spilled her vision "come with me please" i whispered and she hesitantly stood up and took my hand, i walked her to the sinks and sat her down on the only stable one "what happened dear?" i say cupping her face as more tears spilled her cheeks "i-" her voice was lost and i wiped her teared cheeks "Ethan.. called.. me.. me.. a.. a... mud... Mudblood...a..again.." she whimpered and i frowned "shh.. it's alright dear.. you aren't a muggle born, you're a half-blood, just like me" i cooed and she blinked again as tears fell "do you want me to talk to him?" i said and she nodded, i wiped her face again and picked the small girl up and held her "it's alright dear" i whispered and she buried her face into my neck, i walked out of the bathroom and she hugged around my neck as i walked. I found the snickering boy talking to other Slytherins, i walk to the corner of the wall "sit here alright love?" i say and she nodded and slid down the wall, i walk up to the snickering boy and stood in front of him "remember what i said about calling any muggle born child in this school a Mudblood?" i say and he nodded slowly with a smirk still placed on his face, i grabbed his sleeve and his face drained of color "well i'll have you know that Sophia is not a muggle born, shes a half blood. and you know who else is a half blood?" i say to his face and he shook his head "Me, so if you insult anyone in this damn school one more time you'll have a fun time going home" i say and he nodded quickly in fear "detention and 50 points from Slytherin" i say letting go of his sleeve, he gulped and i turned around and walked to the corner where Sophia sat. I leaned down and picked the small girl up and she hugged my neck "thank you" she said into my neck and i smiled, i walked her up the stairs to the Gryffindor common room. the triplets were sitting on the couches, their legs bouncing quickly.. Noah looked up and jumped up "Sophie!" he said and the others turned around and jumped up "Here love" i whispered putting her down, her eyes were light pink and her small lips were puffy.. Noah quickly came over to Sophie and hugged her, same with the other two "you have great friends Sophie" i say pushing her hair back.. she was like my child.. i treated her like my child.. i really want a child.. "I think you'll be good here yes?" i say and she nodded and looked up at me "thank you" she said again and i smiled, "it's quite alright" i say making her smile and the 3 take her to the warm couches and they started talking. I smiled and left "Harry is the best professor ever" was all i heard as i walked down the halls making my heart swell.. maybe i do have a purpose.
