Rob's POV

It's been 3 years since I saw her.

3 years of feeling empty.

3 years of trying to figure out what I have done wrong.

I came home after work and saw her in our bedroom.

She was throwing her clothes into the bag.

Screaming that she didn't want to live like that.

That she was too young for a serious relationship.

That she wanted to party.

She was only 22 years old.

But she didn't have to leave.

I would understand and slow down.

I sigh as I put on my suit jacket.

I take my car keys and drive to my office.

Getting out of the car like everyday I look at the little store she used to work in.

Hoping she was there again.

But it was always closed.

I look down and make my way to my office.

Sitting next to my desk, I have a perfect view at the dessert store.

I once again look in its direction as my eyes light up when I see people inside.

Is she back?

No, that's impossible.

I have to go there.

I quickly finish my work and take my stuff before rushing to the store.

I enter the shop as the familiar smell of cupcakes hits me.

I can't help myself but smile.

I raise my head and there she is behind the counter.

Our eyes meet as she freezes, not knowing what to do.

"Katy?" I ask as I come closer to her. "You're back."

She sighs and turns away as I frown, watching her pack the cupcakes.

"Please talk to me." I say softly.

"There's nothing to talk about." She says coldly as I take a step back.

I nod as I look down and leave.

She doesn't love me anymore.

Of course she doesn't. She probably found someone else.

Someone better than me.
