When I was small, I used to
Wonder what the world outside looked like.
To me it was full of people, big buildings, lights, and
Every single thing that I
Could've never imagined.
But it was a long time ago.
Today
I wear a mask;
A mask that hides the scars on my face and heart.
I pretend to be someone else,
So that the world should not question me
About the happening
For which I shouldn't be blamed for.
Today, when I close my eyes,
My soul seems to be frightened
To death
When I reminisce about that moment
When I called for help
But
No one, not even a single person listened to my cry.
I reached for help
But
I was trapped in a cage,
A cage
That was very hard to break.
Whenever I tried to run,
I would have been accosted in a way
That no one would have imagined.
It was jollity for someone,
But
For me, it was an arm
To shatter my dreams,
To put off the light that burns inside me,
To kill a little girl
Who once wished to fly in the so-called free sky
Of this so-called beautiful world.
But why am I recollecting
All this for,
Even when I know that no one will listen
To the same cry that once called and pleaded for help.
And why am I Wondering
That they may listen,
When the same happens to their
Loved ones
As they are deaf in the fear of this
SO CALLED WORLD!
