Last time...

Zushi quickly pointed out the fact that the man's shirt was untucked, and they had a little chat there, from which I discovered the man was Zushi's mentor. Of course, it would make sense, since he had a pretty powerful nen. It would explain why the new kid knew the basics of nen.

This Zushi kid had something more than Gon and Killua, but was that going to stop them?

Now...

Days passed quicker than I could count them. What happened in months seemed like only minutes, if not seconds, and during that time Gon and Killua grew so much! I have been on their side the whole time. I watched them win matches, reach higher floors in a matter of days!

In all honesty, I don't get the hype that surrounds that "Heavens Arena." Sure, I understand it's a way to both train and make money, but why do people actually go see those matches? I can see the use of it technically, like see future opponents' strength, weaknesses and so on, but what about simple citizens? I have seen thousands show up to matches over the 150th floor, yet only about a dozen would actually be participants. Even worse, only a mere hundred would actually have any basic fighting skill! What would the use to watch two people fighting be? In the end, I gave up on that subject. There are some things humans do I will never understand.

On one night, they reached the 200th floor, only to meet Hisoka blocking their way using nen. That clown will always find a way to annoy me, won't he? Due to his presence, Gon and Killua had to learn how to use nen in a matter of hours. Luckily, Wing, that man Gon and Killua had met along with Zushi, was a nen master and accepted to open the kids' aura nodes, with the sole condition to train them with nen from that point on. The two boys didn't hesitate to unlock this new power.

When the time came to start the Initiation, I was confident the boys would manage to close the aura nodes in time. They had incredible potential, and there was no way I was going to let that go to waste, despite the Initiation being considered dangerous. When Wing touched their back, concentrating some nen on his hands, both of the kids erupted in a great nen flow.

Needless to say, I was impressed. I wasn't really surprised: I had felt long ago a great force lingering through them. But I was impressed. The energy coming out of them was not only in a great concentration, but the aura felt pure. It didn't take long for them to close the nodes, thus preventing their death.

They quickly came back to the tower, not wanting to lose their place at the 200th floor for arriving late at the registration. This time, as they faced Hisoka, Gon and Killua weren't affected by the clown's malicious aura. After all, they had their own nen to protect them.

For the next weeks, I watched them train, merely helping them when things went too slow for me. During their fights, as much as I wanted to give a little help, I restrained myself. This was their moment, their evolution and their breakthroughs. They didn't need my help, even when they lost matches. Being defeated only made Gon stronger, made him learn and grow as a whole.

Finally, the time to reunite with their two other friends arrived. Having achieved his goal of punching Hisoka in the face, Gon was ready to leave Heavens Arena. From this point forward, he hopefully wouldn't cross path with the clown... Well, for a little while at least.

Killua and his friend arrived at York New city on September first, ready to search for Kurapika and Leorio. I had a feeling their adventure would continue further along the kurta's life, but I felt they would live through this situation. It wasn't my business to take care of, and I just knew the two kids were strong enough to survive through this road trip.

As the feeling of security settled in, I finally decided to get out of here. I had now been on the two boys' side for months, yet I hadn't had any interaction with them. What was the point to be on their side? They couldn't possibly advantage me in any way, nor had they shown me anything that could make me stronger.
