LIANA sat beside Harry in the common room, sprawled along the carpeted floor in exhaustion after spending several hours wrapping the Christmas gifts she had to give.

They both reflected the mass panic that had occurred. Harry had a long smear of glitter down the side of his head and sellotape stuck in his already messy hair, Liana had a sticky present bow stuck to her forehead and the string she had been using was tangled around her wrist and she couldn't seem to untie it.

"At least Hermione went to bed so she won't nag us," pointed out Liana with a soft laugh as she turned her head on the floor to look at Harry who had collapsed in the armchair with exhaustion.

Neither had spoken about the quick cheek kiss the other day and Liana considered it was maybe for the best, she wasn't sure what was going through her head when she decided that it was a good idea.

Harry wasn't sure his heart had returned to its normal beating yet, he still got shivers every time she got too close but he was certain it was nothing major, just a silly crush.

"Hey you've got sellotape in your hair-" Liana giggled, her eyes gleaming in the dim light as she took in the appearance of the boy. Harry chuckled and flushed slightly as he tried to brush it out, running his hands through his raven hair.

"That's not gonna work, hang on-" Liana crawled to her feet and walked over to Harry and sat beside him on the air chair, squashing up so she was practically sitting on his lap, and as gently she could tried to untangle the tape from his hair, her long fingers nimbly working.

However Harry knew that his hair wouldn't even lie flat, let alone Liana manage to untangle tape from it.

"It's fine Liana, it's never going to come out- I'll shower before bed and wash it out then," Harry smiled as he brushed her hands aside and budged over so she could slump more comfortably next to him.

"It's Christmas tomorrow," noted Harry looking at the cracking flames of the dying fire.

"So it is," grinned Liana, "in fact, I think you could classify it as Christmas now." She raised an eyebrow as she gestured towards the clock that read five past twelve in the morning. Harry smiled at her and rolled his eyes a little with fondness as he twirled one of her smooth curls in his fingers..

"Merry Christmas Liana,"  sighed Harry as he rested his head on top of hers.

"Merry Christmas Harry," Liana muttered back as she closed her eyes sleepily, leaving the common room in a complete tip of wrapping paper and Christmas streamers.

"AW it's so cute -"

"You wouldn't believe they didn't talk barely weeks ago-"
