Entering her balcony, Luna put her plate at the table, being careful not to spill coffee on her robe. It was a lovely day, nor too cold, nor too hot. A warm weather with a pleasant breeze. Leaning back on her chair she sat, closing her eyes and letting the pale sun kiss her skin. Taking a bite of her buttery croissant, the velvety yet crisp texture made her moan, making a smile of pleasure leave her mouth, alongside some crumbs. Who needed man when you had this delicacy? Placing her mug on her lips, she was careful not to let the towel on her head fall when tilting her head.

Good thing would be if every morning was calm as today's. But good things always came to an end. Hearing her phone ring, she protested when picking it up.

"Hello." She said in a monotonous tone. Making the other side aware that they had just disturbed her peace.

"Luna, you are needed at the studio, they have finished the song." She heard Sam's voice speak. Even though by now Sam had taken many times the role of a corporate assistant, now she had to be an artist's manager and Luna had to return to being just a singer.

Luna only hummed in response. Making Sam lift her brow.

"Yes. I will be heading to the company. I think we should arrange a meeting with the director of PR. I want to start promoting after the song is out. I think is more than necessary." After a brief goodbye, she went back to her food, taking a deep breath and leaving.

Today was a day Luna could only describe as a self-care one. Because she had been blacklisted by her family for so much time, she had forgotten what it felt to be an heir. Having a career, being a CEO and still being an heir to the Gills name, it was exhausting. Luna wondered why in the earth she choose to not  stay at home and enjoy the pleasured of being born with influence, like Katherine Butchers, she shook her head to get the thought out. She shouldn't blindly hate on the woman. Especially since, she had done nothing to her. Still, Luna couldn't help but feel jealous.

After all, Katherine was a lucky girl. Even though the woman never lifted a finger in her life, she had it all, money, fame, name, a strong backing and she would probably continue earning money, solely for the fact that she had money. Not that Luna didn't have it, but her name contributed to very little in her industry, which was not a bad thing for starters, considering that one of the perks of her job was the choice for Luna to make a name for herself.

Luna had a strong backing, and she could easily become one of the spoiled brats that lived easy. Not that her parents would ever allow it, but it was a possibility. Luna's mother was the heir of a big condiments export brand, they sold everything from herbs and spices to the most luxurious and rare coffee grains. Meanwhile her father was a the primogenitor of an Oil empire, even though both of them kept it low key, the amount of money the two of them had together was not a small sum. Luna was old money, and she was the heir of a ridiculous amount of the shares from each side, considering that her father had one sibling and her mother was an only child.

But since her parents had long decided to raise Luna as a normal child, she payed no mind to any of it. Still, having to attend the parties and socialize with people who she didn't want to was one of the biggest first world problems she was faced with.  Moreover, tonight would be one of those unfortunate nights she couldn't just get back home to sleep.

Getting up and ready, Luna left the comfort of her home, now that she was back in the game she had to put more effort in her work, even if that meant irritating her lazy side. Maybe in the future, she could find some more assistants and take some of the trouble from her back.

Arriving at the company, Luna reached the conference room. Entering, everyone stood silent. Her selection of compositors, editors and music geniuses was not one to look down upon, she had hunted every single one down, the successful names from her previous memories that were not yet corrupted, she took each and every one of them. Most of the group consisted on teens, even if they lacked professionalism, they were good in what they did. They were fresh and passionate, the complete opposite of the ones she had worked before. Because she was the only artist in the industry until yesterday, every single one of the 26 were in the in the room. "Hello, good morning." She said sitting on a chair releasing another of her beautiful smiles. "Is everyone here?" She asked, counting everyone, noticing the missing of one of the boys. "I think Charles is missing, but he can catch up later on. "
