Quiet weeping must be done
To remember a lost one,
And silent tears must be shed
To show you miss the one that's dead,
While all you wish to do
Is cry your heart out
For the one your heart was true,
Until all that comes is drought.
You live your life, and live it well,
While inside is living hell.
You could move on, like some do,
But can't leave the memories haunting you.
Don't weep for us,
We aren't worth the fuss.
We lived as long as we should,
So don't worry with "what could?"
When you wish to cry,
Think of happy thoughts.
Remember our good times
While your heart-wound clots
Live your life, live it well,
Don't turn it into living hell,
For moving on, like others do,
Will not erase memories, reminding you.
I weep for joy
And i weep for loss,
But only this seems clear:
I've wasted time and wasted breath,
Lingering on a single death,
Giving into fear.
And I know you'd want me
To live and breathe
While I've still got the time,
But i can't hold on
And I can't let go
To your memories of mine.
