"h-huh? privately?" jihyo managed to say after choking at what jeongyeon had said. "that's what he ordered." jeongyeon just shrugged, taking another bite of food.

"does he do that to every newbie here?" yes that's right, every new worker must've had a private talk with him. there's nothing to worry about.

that's what she thought. but the others shook their heads, claiming that they didn't experience that back then. jihyo gulped, could this day get any worse now?

time had passed and lunch break is over, everyone got back to their own departments. jihyo was left wondering at her own desk.

it looked like he didn't know me the first time i went here, what's his problem now? will he tell me that all of it was a joke, and that he still remembers that i exist?

these thoughts occupied jihyo's mind for hours. time flew quickly, and before jihyo even knew it, most of her officemates left already. even mina, the office was already empty if it weren't for her.

the only source of light left was her cubicle's lamp and the ceo's office, indicating that she still has company, which obviously was the ceo himself.

she gulped, they are now by themselves. jeongyeon had texted her that she's leaving early, so she had no one to depend on later.

after minutes of staring at the door, it was suddenly opened, causing jihyo to shake of nervousness. she knew who it was, but her heart still beats very fast.

his face finally appeared, and jihyo was doing her best to not freak out. he noticed the girl, and immediately went to her area.

"good evening. did you wait that long?" was all he said when he reached jihyo's cubicle. why was he treating her so nicely, after what he'd done back then.

"oh-uh, no it's fine." jihyo answered as soon as he finished, afraid that if she stared at him, he'll question her.

"okay then. let me lead you to my office, then we'll start." he offered his hand, but jihyo was quick to decline, she told him she can handle it herself.

the way to his office was quick and quiet, jihyo didn't dare say anything while walking. he opened the door and even let jihyo enter first, being the gentleman jihyo used to love back then.

used to.

not anymore.

"what was it that you wanted to talk about, sir?" jihyo asked as soon as he comfortably settled on his chair. she awkwardly stood infront of his table, not wanting to sit down.

"i think it would be better for you to sit down", he offered, and even before jihyo could refuse, "please." he added.

seeing that the ceo wanted her to do it, she sighed, following his orders and sitting down at the chair available. she was too busy playing with her skirt to meet his eyes. but one clearing of his throat made her look up, she did not have a choice anyway.

"so, my secretary should have told you why you're currently here." he started.

"yes, jeongyeon unnie has informed me earlier already." jihyo replied, smiling a little bit.

yoongi has asked her a series of questions afterwards. he was polite, too polite for her own liking, they didn't talk like that before, and jihyo was beyond irritated.

"i'm going to have to require you to lend me your contact number, as well as a spare key to your house." yoongi simply stated, and jihyo furrowed her eyebrows.

"excuse me? why would you need my contact number, and most of all a key to my house?" she asked, obviously shocked at his requirements.

"everyone is needed to submit theirs, you're no exception, jihyo." the way he said her first name, jihyo just wanted to cry. it's still the same, after all the years. it could still make her heart flutter.

"i-i'm sorry.", she managed to speak out, embarrassed at her sudden outburst. she didn't mean it, but she's just very protective of her personal information.

"alright, let's continue." he managed to explain what jihyo has to do, instructing this and that. all the new information made her completely dizzy, she had a lot to take in.

he has even required her to take overtimes, so that he would be able to train her. jihyo's heart still isn't ready to be with him almost everyday, but who was she to decide? she's just a normal worker, he's a ceo.

jihyo got off work late, even if today was just her first day. she tiredly walk outside the company, telling the guard to have a good night.

her heels weren't helping either. she has to walk all the way to the train station. jihyo considered on bringing flat shoes next time.

in the middle of her walk, a black car has stopped beside her. the window was heavily tinted, so she couldn't figure out who the driver was. she wanted to ignore the car and continue walking, but the window began to go down, allowing jihyo to see whoever the driver was.

"hey. need a ride?" the young ceo asked, and jihyo weighed her options. if she accepts, the whole ride would pretty much be awkward on her part. she's just a regular employee, she's in no position to ride with him in the same car. if she were to decline though, it'll take time for her to reach home.

"i'm not letting you decide on this one. hop in." he commanded. jihyo was left with no choice but to obey his command, slowly making her way to the car's backseat, only to find the door locked.

"where are you going? sit infront." he added, and jihyo just wanted to die on the spot. "oh... okay." it was nearly a whisper, but atleast she was able to talk.

she went to the car's opposite side, opening the door and sitting at the passenger's seat. she didn't and won't bother looking at the person beside her, she knew that he was staring at her at this moment.

jihyo cleared her throat, and he started advancing towards her, and she can't help but panic. her head hung low, and she slightly bit her lip due to nervousness.

he was getting closer, and jihyo really wants to scream right now, but it turns out he just reached for the seatbelt, securing it on her. "safety first." he stated.

she finally exhaled. bold of her to assume that he was gonna do something to her. it's not like she was expecting, but... well, oh forget it.

"shall we go?" his voice made jihyo escape her thoughts. "oh uhm, yeah, sure sir." she stuttered, fiddling with her fingers.

jihyo swore that she heard him lightly chuckle before he started driving, but she chose to ignore it, not saying anything at all.
