Claire's POV

When Amethyst was dragged away by Enoch, I felt mad. But Miss Peregrine always told us that there's no point getting mad at someone you're living with forever. So, once dinner was over and we were getting ready for the movie, I knocked on Amie's door. "Amie? It's me, Claire." I informed her when she didn't open the door. Within seconds the door was open and I got to look at her beautiful choice of nightwear. How can she afford silk! It's so expensive!

"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Amethyst asked in a calm voice. I gave her a smile as I answered, "I'm just curious. Are you and Enoch together? And if not, why did you let him drag you away like that?" She seemed frozen for a moment, like she was part of t he loop and Miss Peregrine had frozen her. "No, Claire. We aren't seeing and we never will. And I only let him drag me away because I was close to having another anxiety attack."

I nodded slowly and hugged her waist. She smiled and picked me up, hugging me tightly. "You're a sweet girl, Claire. Try not to grow up too much." Giggling, I nodded at her and she put me down. "I'll be down for the movie in a second, okay? Save me a seat." Amethyst smiled before starting to close her door. "Okie! You can sit with my and Bronwyn!" With that, I ran to my room to change and then ran with Wyn to save Amie a seat.

Amethyst's POV

I don't love Enoch.

I do not love Enoch.

I can't love Enoch.

I'm just a monster.

He'll never love me.

He's my goddam enemy!

My thought made my head throb and I tried my best to focus on walking down the stairs properly. I don't know who was behind me but they cared an awful lot cuz they kept questioning if I was alright. Without an answer, they seemed more worried about me and ended up helping me down the stairs and getting me a drink. That's when my head cleared and I saw Hugh. "You okay now?" He asked, worry evident in his voice. I nodded a little and smiled, "Yeah, thanks."
"No problem!"

After that, we both went to the living room where the children sat amongst one another. Horace was sat on a grand armchair slightly behind everyone and it made me laugh that no one was clambering to sit with him. "Amie!" Turning at my name, I saw Bronwyn and Claire sat in a pile of blankets on the floor by Horace's feet. "We saved you a seat, like promised!" Claire smiled, proud of her small accomplishment. Giggling, I went and sat between them, meaning my head was on Horace's knees.

"Amethyst, that feels weird." The blonde boy chuckled. "I can't help it, there isn't enough room." I sasses back. We looked at each other and laughed before I switched position. My legs were now under the armchair and my head was resting on my hands as Claire sat on my back and Bronwyn sat to my left. I hadn't noticed before but Emma walked in with two mugs of hot chocolate. She put one in front of me and I thanked her as she sat next to that Jake character. His pale skin flushed pink as she sat by him and a small giggle escaped me.

Millard walked in with a mug for Jake and himself. "Extra marshmallows for you, Jake." He said with what sounded like a smile, handing the boy the mug. Emma looked over and tutted at him, "Millard! Go and out some clothes on!" She moved over closet to Jake, not only making him uncomfortable but making me giggle. "It's too hot in here!" Millard whined. Soon Miss P hushed everyone and shut off the lights. A beam of what looked like cinema light appeared on the wall in front of me and I turned to see Horace wearing a monocle and projecting his dream.

Cool, I thought before looking back at the 'movie'. The first scene was of Horace. He wore a deep red suit and top hat, monocle to fit and a walking stick too. "It's perfect. I'll take it!" Dream-Horace smiled, making me smile too. A puff of smoke later and we were looking at a dimly lit hall. About four men turned a corner into the hall, pushing along an old woman on what I can only describe as a parcel mover. The woman squawked and the dream focused on the men's eyes. The men's white, soft glowing eyes.

Another smoke puff and we're looking at two people. Emma and Jake to be exact. The dream focused on Jake's face then Emma's before the dream-pair stepped closer and their lips connected. Poof, a new part of the dream appeared. This time containing... Me? And... Oh gospel, is that Enoch? We were by the loop entrance and dream-Enoch was holding his hand out to dream-me. "Please..." The dream-boy's voice cracked as he choked out the word and- "Okay that's enough. Time for the reset!"

Everyone groaned and I looked at Enoch, earning a glare in return. Wow, for someone who would do anything to stop me having a mental break down, he sure knew how to switch his feelings off. "Ugh, Claire, you're gonna break my back." I giggled at the little girl. She made an 'O' shape with her mouth then got up next to Wyn. "Sorry, Amie! Are you going to watch the reset with us?" She looked so hopeful and I just couldn't say no. "Of course I will, Bubs." She squealed happily and my hands were taken by the girl's and dragged to a cupboard full of gas masks.

Bronwyn handed me one and I gladly took it, confused at the contraption about to cover my face as we all walked outside. Did I wear one of these last time? Everyone lined up in two rows, Claire on my hip and Bronwyn to my right, gripping my hand so tightly I thought it would break. Jake and Emma stood on the end and Miss P stood in front of an old record player. Everyone our their masks on, Claire helping my retarded ass cuz I couldn't get the darn thing on, and Miss P started playing Run Rabbit Run.

Watching Jake's reaction to the reset was fun, but it soon came to an end and I was dragged by Wyn and Claire, being begged to tuck them up and read them a story. Well, Claire wanted a story.

Oof my writing schedule is just screwed. Cya in the next chapter, bai!
