There's regret sitting across me
As I try to move past what we had.
He has been looking at me for long now,
There are holes drilled by his stare on me .
He tells me it was a mistake maybe
To leave the love we held.
He looks a lot like you and I swear
It's not even helping.

But there's a hand on my back now.
It's that of Healing, I see.
She tells me to give Regret a cup of tea,
Listen to whatever he has to speak
And then politely show the door
Because
I just deserve so much more.

Author's note:
The leaves are falling.
I was falling apart but
Now I think I am
Finally falling into place.
