Little Yang was bored. It had been hanging around in the location close to the gate where Five and Elyas had last spoke and made plans for close to a month, but in vain, Five had not arrived yet. It bit upon its own white tail and swung lazily upon the ledge forming from the rock, pondering what to do. No, it could not return to Elyas yet, that would be like failing the first ever mission that it had received from the boy. Yang was his System (in training), it had to work hard for Elyas.

It let its mind wander through the lives that he and the boy had spent together, first it was just a messenger, acting on behalf of the Master, until its abilities had developed and it had been able to act more on its own. Although, being forced into a body of its own had been like a baptism under fire, it had survived it... mostly! Then Yin had been created. Yin was smarter than Yang, having been formed with more experience and the learnings of Yang. This was Yin's first time having a moving body, albeit it was a limbless snake rather than a person, but even then, Yang felt it needed to be a good big brother and teach Yin well. Even more reason that it could not let its boredom get to it!

Yang sighed and slithered over the ledge and up along a nearby crack before circling onto a higher ledge, dangling itself down under it's upper portion touched the original ledge and it slid its length back down. So bored!

"So the one that you say can lead us to Seven will meet us here?" Came a sultry, female voice. "I still think that you are being played, Five. We all know that we are only weapons to be used by others. Your 'friend' likely has the same assumption and will use us until we are blunt, just like the others."

"Trust Elyas," The deep, gruff voice of Five said shortly. Yang was ecstatic! Finally, it could pass on the message, then return to Elyas. The little white viper came into the broad man's view.

"Is that Seven's white viper?" Six pointed out as he bounced upon the backs of his heels. "That looks like Seven's white viper. Does that mean that Seven is already here? Great mission accomplished, what do we do now?"

Five shook his head and knelt down before the small, proud snake. The little one's jaw opened wide as if he was straining to consume a rodent meal, but strangely instead produced a sealed scroll from its throat. "That is gross," came a whispered voice from behind the group, which the others ignored. Four had a hatred for bodily fluids, such as blood, pieces of internal organs, vomit, saliva to name a few.

Yang nudged the scroll with its tale bashfully and waited for Five to pick it up. Five unfurled the rolled parchment to view the words within. "Can anyone read?" he asked his companions and much to the disbelief of the viper, they all shook their heads.

Elyas had still not found the opportunity to leave the mage halls, let alone the city. He was feeling even more the urgency to flee since his birthday had occurred. He was now sixteen and ripe to engage to some random female, not that a girl would tie his heart to this city anymore than it was now. He was daydreaming within the library, hidden between two bookshelves when his old dorm mates discovered him. Herebert leapt upon him, wrestling him to the ground with something that could be considered a belly flop and bear hug combined. Elyas thanked that his self training had begun to show results for he was strong enough to cope with the tackle.

Lewin joined them both with a grin as did Jenefer, who had become friends with the boys in Elyas' absence. "Dammit, I missed you!" Herebert wailed.

"There, there," Elyas patted his back with false sympathy. "Me to, it has been far too quiet without your snoring to keep me from retiring half of the night." Jenefer glanced at Lewin, who nodded with this statement, causing the girl to giggle behind her hand.
