"Can I take your daughter to the outside world?! I promise I'll keep her safe! Just please don't let her kept her caged in here." (Francisca)

The king was speechless however in his mind was this:

The king looked cool, composed and calm but deep inside he couldn't tolerate on a human chancing in on her daughter.

Francisca's POV

He stopped in complete utter silence. You could hear the rumbling slowly stopping, the sea becoming calm, and the tension being so tense...

"Human. You are going to my blacklist of humans to kill the next time I see you." (King of Mermaids)

He's an overprotective dad.

"So uh is that a yes?" 

"No. However I'm willing to get a deal done. How about my daughter Serena stays here forever in exchange for your ride home?" 

It feels like I'm asking her daughter for prom. Except there's a condition on her freedom.

"Father! Please! Anything but------"

"Serena. You're too innocent for that world. I wouldn't want my daughter to become astray and die."

The sea floor was becoming more like a cracked floor. The lights of this place seem to have come from special magical corals. It was flickering that scared me.

Shella the princess's friend swam closer and spoke.

"She is the only heiress into the throne and she needs to marry a suitable suitor. If possible one that's not human. Shella your her friend you are loyal and everyone knows that. So I take charge that you would be her playmate for as long as she needs." (King of Mermaids)

The King of Mermaids says to Shella, her eyes were still in doubt and worry for her lady. Princess Serena was boiling in anger. The water that was surrounding her felt warm. She confronted her father for her freedom, telling him she's not a child anymore.

"Father! I'm not a child anymore! I don't care what you think! I'm 18!" (Shella)

The Father shook her head.
