-Normal POV-
Around ten o'clock at night, Ace snuck out of the house and walked down the block towards the outskirts of town. He was headed towards the Risen Demon Gang's hideout. They were one of the most feared gangs in the whole city. There were around 300 members, most of them were broken out of prison. Most of the gang are normal criminals. However, a few, like Ace, were gifted and powerful and made up the fighter branch. There are four branches of the gang; Fighter Branch, Supply Branch, Rouge Branch, and Intel Branch. The Fighter Branch consisted of Elementals who acted as security or were used as leaders in gang wars. The Supply Branch is the group that ambushes military or police convoys for weapons, ammo, etc. The Rouge Branch are the members who don't play a role, but have the protection of the Risen Demon Gang. Most of the time, they are used as back-ups for the other branches. Finally, the Intel Branch are the ones who gather intel about enemy gangs or upcoming convoys. Ace is second in command of the Fighter Branch, and he's also one of the masterminds of the whole gang. He was taken in by the boss when the Risen Demons only had around 20 members. They were small, and were easy targets for rival gangs and mobs. However, thanks to Aces power, they were able to eliminate smaller rival gangs and grow. Now, the Risen Demons are ranked #6 on the most dangerous list of mobs and gangs.
(The gang is almost exactly like a Dark Guild version of Fairy Tail)
Ace went up to the job bulletin board and found his new task. Criminals around the city will ask the gang for assistance in things like heists and gang wars. though there is a heavy cost in return. He needed to make some extra money to buy his sister a new phone, since he accidentally broke it while training. The job was an assassination, something Ace had recently learned to do. The reward was only $200, but he would get an extra $100 if he brought the body to the client alive and another $300 if he brought back the motorcycle undamaged. The target was a man who recently stole the clients stolen motorcycle, funny how that works. Ace went up to the front desk and applied for the job, and in a matter of minutes, it was his. He passed by the armory, but didn't grab any gear since it was an ordinary man.
*One hour later...*
(Ace's POV)
It wasn't hard for me to tack him down. The motorcycle stood out like... an expensive motorcycle in the outskirts of town. I don't know, I never was good at literature. I waited for what seemed like hours on the roof of a nearby building before he came out in the open, he was a fool for not sticking to the shadows knowing he'd have a bounty on his head. I jumped down from the roof and landed a couple feet behind him. I guess he didn't expect me to show up, since he turned around and turned pale.
Ace: Do you know who I am?
Criminal: Yeah, you're with the Risen Demons!
I wasn't surprised that he knew that I was with the gang. he may have not realized who I really am, but the Risen Demons insignia was on my jacket. And everybody knows that insignia in these parts of town.
Ace: You've been targeted by me from the man you stole that bike from. I'm taking you with me dead or alive, so don't try anything stupid.
Of course, that's exactly what he did. He pulled out a Beretta M9 out of his waist and proceeded to shoot me. I saw it coming way before he had the chance to fire and ducked around the wall. He used up all the ammo in his magazine and attempted to reload, but I had already taken advantage of the situation and was on him. I knocked him out after a few swings and slung him over my shoulder. I walked to the van I had taken to get here and chained him to the passenger seat. Then I backed up the van into the alleyway and slid the bike into the back. I was about to take off towards the base but that's when I saw bright flashes in my rear-view mirror. All I saw was flames and knew exactly what was happening. This guy obviously had protection from the Dancing Flame Gang and they were eager to get him back. He must have stolen this bike to give to them for payment. I slammed my foot on the gas and took off as fast as I could. I knew I couldn't outrun them in this van though. They were known for their motorcycles and sure enough I saw two Suzuki GSX-R600's drive out of the alleyway I just came out of. I knew who those two were. Their known as the Dragon Twins. Both of them are Fire Elementals, a whole class lower than me. However, it's their combo attacks that makes them a threat. The work perfectly in sync and almost no amount of defense holds up long against them. That's why I learned their gangs special defense *Dancing Flame Armor*. I used to work with them undercover for intel. I learned a lot about them and from them. Once they figured out I was a spy, they've hunted me down nonstop. Thanks to my position though, they won't come near me in our territory. All I had to do was make it to the border of our territories and I'd be safe. But they had already caught up to me and were attacking the van with fireballs. I thought about using the bike in the back, but it was nowhere near as fast as theirs. I don't have much of a choice though, I unchained the profit and kept the van in auto mode. Climbing into the back with him, I climbed onto the bike and started her up. That's when I realized why they wanted the bike so much. This bike was a new prototype version of a R 1200 GS. This would definitely outrun them, I should make the client pay more for this later. I opened up the van doors and pulled out onto the road. Before they could even turn their heads to look back, I had already sped past them. I looked at the speedometer and saw I was traveling 225 mph and rising. I made it to the border in no time and drove the the designated spot to meet the client.
Ace: I got what you asked for, she doesn't even have a scratch on her.
The client quickly and carefully checked the bike for any damage, but eventually became satisfied and gave me my money.
Ace: Not so fast, I saw what this bike and do. This ain't gonna cut it.
Client: You did your job, I don't need you anymore.
Ace: I could just kill you right now and present the new bike to the boss myself. Or you can pay me a tenth of the worth of the bike.
I estimated that the bike was worth around anywhere from $30,000 to $50,000. He gave me $2763 and told me he would give me the rest once he sold it to the boss. I nodded my head and left heading for my house.
*Early morning the next day*
-Ace's POV-
I woke up exhausted from what happened last night. After I finished my job, I went by the Apple store to get her a new iPhone. The line was long and the staff was crummy, I didn't get out of there until around twelve o'clock. I got dressed for school and walked down the hallway to her room. I opened the door and saw he sitting on her bed holding her broken phone in her hand. Holding the gift behind me, I sat next to her, but she wouldn't look at me.
Ace: It's just a phone, there's no reason to get so upset about it.
Claire: It wasn't just a phone, my whole social life was in that phone!
I just rolled my eyes at her and gave her a questioning look.
Ace: Well you have everything backed up don't you?
Claire: Yeah, with no way to access it.
Ace: Well then the hard part it out of the way.
Claire: No, I don't have the money to buy a new phone, that's the hard part.
Ace: Well then I guess the hard part's over now.
I pulled out the box from behind me and she started screaming in joy. She bounced up and down on her bed almost crying. She quickly took the box from my hands and opened it and only screamed louder. I bought her the newest and best one they had, which costed me all of my hard earned money and some more from my wallet.
Claire: How much did this cost?!
I just shrugged and she quickly asked me with a stern look if I stole this from someone on the way home from school. I just bursted out laughing and promised her that I actually bought the phone. Claire doesn't like what I do, but she knows that it's a part of y life and always will be, just like her. Honestly, if I had to choose between her and the gang, it'd be her all the way. Plus the boss would understand, since he's a really family guy. She instantly started up the phone and regained her stuff after a few minutes of tutorial crap. I left her with her phone and told her she could stay home today and headed for school smiling. Then, once I got on campus, I put my serious face back on to hide it and shoved a kid off the curb.
