suddenly, i held your hand in mine
and your brownish eyes began to shine
as if we were lost in our own illusion
when the little stars began to align
love takes time to grow, i understand
and before you know, it starts to expand
the same thing happened with us, darling
soon, we were soaring miles above the land
and you said, "close your eyes, we'll be okay
as long as these stars glow and you stay
with me..."
come close, let's get lost in starry nights
where the tiny dots of the sky are the only lights
come close, let's bind our hearts with the stars
and allow the celestial forms to be our knights
who protect us in our starry nights
you stutter as you confess all those truths shyly
we both blush as we shared smiles brightly
so beautiful that even those stars were jealous
that our love was so magnificent, so shiny
the stars fell and got tangled in my dark hair
as we kissed, the twinkling stars began to glare
because we forgot them as we had each other
as everyone says, our love was in the air
and i said, "i do not know what to say
just know these starry nights are going to stay
with us..."
come close, let's get lost in the starry nights
where we could shine brighter than the star lights
come close, let's be a part of our constellation
where you and i are each other's knights
to protect us in our starry nights
