Sienna

It had been days since my fallout with my mom and things had still been tense around the house.

To make matters even worse, it was currently Saturday morning and I awoke to the sound of feet stomping around down the hall.

What was going on?

Groaning, I turned over and tiptoed my fingers around my messy bedsheets, searching for my phone. When I grasped it, I blinded myself by looking at the screen to see I had a message from Mason.

I had agreed to spend the weekend with him at his house while his parents and brother were gone.

My body hummed silently with excitement.

I was really gonna go through with it.

I texted Mason a reply letting him know that I would start packing a overnight bag and to let me know when he would be ready to pick me up.

My phone bounced back onto my bed as I tossed it to stretch my hands into the air. Today was gonna be a great day.

Life changes were gonna be happening.

I kicked my comforter off my legs and jumped up, feeling oddly energetic. When I swung my door open, my happy facial expression dissipated as I stared at countless of cardboard boxes lined up along the walls.

What the freak was going on??

"Excuse me..." A deep suggestive voice said from my left. I swung my head towards it and found myself staring at a tall man with dark deep ocean blue eyes. His hair was a dark shade of brown, shades darker than my own and he had a pale skin shade that made him seem more ethereal in a masculine way.

I blinked at him a few times, before it registered in my brain that he was carrying some speakers that looked quite heavy.

"Sorry!" I gasped, smashing myself up against the wall to allow him space to get past me.

"Thanks, Sienna."

I couldn't help but to stare at his retreating back. He knew my name, which could have only meant that he knew Zedlin and that Zedlin talked about me.

Good things, I hoped.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I realized something big was going on. I moved carefully around boxes down the hall leading to Zedlin's room.

Without thinking, I walked in and watched the man himself, David and another unfamiliar guy attempting to move the bedframe off the floor. The boxspring to the bed and the mattress were balanced against the now barren walls of the room and the scene made the light in my brain switch on.

"You're moving out?" I asked outloud.

Three sets of eyes swung my way and one set averted way too quickly, with an embarrassing blush staining his cheeks.

"Morning, Sienna." David spoke gruffly, while straining with his side of the bedframe.

Zedlin and the other guy just stared at me and for some reason, it made my skin chill. I glanced down and realized for the first time that I was wearing a very short nightshirt with no shorts underneath.

That'd explain the lack of eye contact from the older married man in the room that was basically my father.

"So you're Sienna. Nice to finally meet you." The unknown guy smiled cheekily at me, letting his eyes sweep over my bare legs for the third time, unashamed.

I waved my hand awkwardly, "Uh, hi..."

"Garrett." He finished for me.

I smiled and realized Zedlin was glaring at me now.
