A/N- This imagine is based on the song 'Beautiful Monster" by Ne-Yo. It's a very good song, and I hope you all enjoy it.

You were running your eyes lazily over your fingers as Lord Tarly stood in front of you, his hands clasped in front of him and his words merging into nothingness as you continued to listen with little interest in what he was actually saying. "Your Grandmother was a good woman, Lady Tyrell, but she chose the wrong side in this war." Your eyes suddenly flashed up to stare at the man in front of you, causing him to fall silent.

"No," you muttered, bringing your hands down to rest lightly on the table. "I believe it was you that made the poor decision in adandoning my Grandmother in my family's time of need, and ultimately bringing about her death at Lannister hands." He shifted uncomfortably under your gaze, his eyes unable to stay locked on yours as you stared down at him. "Don't you agree, Lord Tarly?"

To say that the older Lord was out of his element was an understatement. No one had believed that you would be such a ruthless leader, let alone an effective and successful one, but here you were, the last surviving member of your family, ready to start bringing about the justice that was so needed. "I am not sure I understand your question, My Lady."

You huffed, watching as his jowls tensed at the sound. "Were you, or were you not, implicitly invovled in causing the death of my Grandmother?" All attempts at niceties were dropped in an instant as he stood in shock.

"My Lady," he started softly, shaking his head in disbelief at your rather forward question.

You took a deep breath, releasing it with a new string of words. "Just answer the question, Randyll. I'd prefer to keep procedings moving forward."

"Yes, My Lady, though I never intended harm towards your Grandmother, my actions may have, in some way, led to her death."

You smiled softly at him, "thank you, My Lord." You nodded your head, and watched as the fear returned to him at the sound of clinking armour headed in his direction. "He can stay in a cell until our Queen decides what is to be done with him."

"Please, My Lady, there is no need for such cruelty," he began, but he fell silent when your gaze fell on him once more.

You blinked slowly, keeping your focus on him. "If Dickon is willing to swear fealty to myself and my Queen then your family will be spared. I cannot say the same for you, My Lord." Without another word he was dragged from before you, and you were left in a silent room.

*Time Skip*

"I have come to beg forgiveness for my father, My Lady." You let out a small chuckle as you glanced at the man in front of you. In all honesty, you had always though that it was hard to see how he had anything in common with Randyll; he wasn't the smartest of men, and he was far more handsome than you could ever have imagined his father being.

You nodded slightly, "and why is it that I should forgive his betrayal?" you asked him softly, watching as he began to fiddle with the belt on his tunic. "After all," you continued, "if it weren't for his act of treason against my house, my Grandmother would still be alive."

"He is sorry for his actions," he started, and this time you couldn't hold back the laughter that fell from your lips.

You shook your head, "you're funny," you told him, "and much more foolish than you look, if you think I will believe that for even a second." The room fell silent, and you continued to stare at the man, though he seemed incapable of withering under your stare as his father had just a week before. "Tell me, Dickon, why are you so fixed on protecting him?"

The man shrugged slightly at your question. "He's my father."

"He's a cruel, manipulative, little man, and he all but tortured your brother." You rested your elbows on the table, leaning forward to place your chin on your folded hands.

He seemed unshaken by your question, "he did what was in the best interest of House Tarley."

You smiled slightly at his words. "Yes," you told him quietly, "though I would have prefered it if those actions had been less detrimental to my own family."

"He did not intend for harm to come to your Grandmother, My Lady, we all cared deeply for Olenna."

You felt your brow furrow slightly, "then why turn on her when she needed you?" He remained silent, "she had kept your family safe her entire life, she cared for you when we were children, and you couldn't do her the same curtesy in her time of need."

"She chose the wrong side, and we weren't going to stand by and watch the Reach torn apart because of her bad decision."

You frowned, "so you were involved in the decision to turn on my family?" You shook your head slightly, your tongue running over your teeth.

"Your unpredictable act doesn't work on me." His words caught you off guard, and your gaze turned quickly into a glare. "We've known each other since we were children, Y/N, you don't scare me like you scare everyone else."

"I never intended to scare you," you told him softly, "but you father committed a crime and I am not going to free him just because you came here and tried to reason with me."

The room was silent for a moment, and Dickon continued to stare at you. "I assume the wedding is to be postponed?" The question caused a small laugh to slip from your lips. A few months ago you would have been quivering at the idea of your betrothal to Dickon, but now it seemed far less important.

"I'm afraid so," you told him softly, "I'm sorry that it had to come to this."

Dickon opened his mouth as though he was going to answer you, but his words never came, and he simply frowned up at you. "So am I," he told you quietly, before giving you a short nod and turning on his heel, marching out of the great hall.
