"noona, where are we going? there's a park right there," jimin asked, struggling to keep up with chaeyoung due to her long legs.

"don't worry, there's a private one my friend owns right around this corner!"

the idol was excited. a private park? he'd never been to one. everything was probably so pretty and nice. the grass, the flowers, the trees, the-

the duo were standing in a dark alley. there was no grass. there were no flowers. and there were definitely no trees.

"noona, are we lost or-"

click.

jimin froze as he felt something cool press against his temple. his breath hitched in his throat, chaeyoung's wicked smile causing his heart to beat from fear.

"n-noona?"

she laughed, a harsh sound that hurt his ears.

"kid, you need to learn not to be so trusting of strangers."

with her free hand, she stuck her fingers in her mouth and whistled, three buff guys emerging from the shadows.

"tie him up, boys. boss is running late, we can't have him escaping."

"noona, you're scaring me."

"and gag him too. i can't stand the sound of his pathetic voice."

tears streamed down jimin's face as he was shoved against the harsh concrete, hands bound behind his back with coarse rope. the shortest thug stuffed a piece of cloth in his mouth and snickered.

"hey, chaeyoung. he's a pretty little boy, you sure we can't have a little bit of fun with him while we're waiting? i mean, look at those thighs."

jimin fought back a wail when the man smacked his ass. he was positive it would leave a mark.

"i've told you before, boss gets him first. you boys just get the leftovers."

oh god no, oh god. jimin's heart stopped at her words. he needed someone, anyone. jeongguk, namjoon, seokjin, even one of their fans. he had no idea what they were going to do to him, and he didn't want to ever find out.

jimin breathed slowly to try to calm himself down. he needed to be rational. he needed to figure out how to run. they hadn't bound his legs and he was fairly fast. if he had an opening where he'd be able to get up, he could run towards the people they'd passed earlier.

plan in mind, the idol shifted so he was squatting instead of kneeling. chaeyoung was standing near the entrance of the alley, typing something on her phone. one of the men was standing behind him, and the other two were farther back, arguing about something. jimin's heart sank. even if he did manage to get away from the thugs, chaeyoung would stop him before he could escape.

a sudden vibration in his pocket alerted him to the fact that he somehow still had his phone. with a quick glance, he saw that it was namjoon. he gulped. they were going to record the final part of the title track for their upcoming comeback. if he didn't make it on time, he'd get in massive trouble with management, either for being late or for not being cautious with strangers now that he was an idol.

more vibrations. the other members. even though jimin did like the idea of jeongguk being worried for him, he wanted to get back to his friends as soon as he could.

"damn it," chaeyoung suddenly swore, turning towards the others in the alley. "boss is having some trouble with the cops. i need to go help him. don't let the trash escape." with a final glare, she took off, leaving jimin along with the three men.

"hey, she's gone. she wouldn't know if we had a bit of fun before boss."

the shortest (who jimin assumed to be the leader of the trio) shook his head.

"nah. you remember what happened to us last time we disobeyed her. we're just going to keep an eye on him. make sure he doesn't escape."

the other two grumbled in irritation but obliged, wandering off somewhere. jimin watched the third pace back and forth as they waited for chaeyoung and 'boss' to return. it was now or never. with a deep breath, jimin sprang up and ran. ran as fast as he could, as fast as his legs would let him go. but even that wasn't fast enough for him. he willed himself to go faster and faster as he heard curses coming from behind him.

hope spiked through his veins when he saw the entrance getting closer and closer. freedom. safety. with his final burst of energy, jimin pressed on, adrenaline fueling him.

"got you!"

a hand gripped his shoulder, squeezing hard enough to bruise.

"thought you could escape, didn't you? little brat."

"sir, i advise that you let go of that young man. you and your associates are already in enough trouble as it is."

jimin could've cried from joy when he saw a group of police officers standing in front of him, pointing their guns at the three men. one of them, an older female, smiled reassuringly at him.

"don't worry, sweetheart. it's going to be okay."

and as the cops led his kidnappers away to their cars, and the woman from before hugged jimin to assure him that he was safe, jimin knew that she was telling the truth.
