Unexpected Love

Chapter 13

Elizabeth's POV
The minute we went back to the group I saw Clary open her mouth but then close it deciding not to say anything

I smirked to myself.

This was the first smart decision she has made in months.

Alec and Jace we're shocked when they saw the gold bracelet on my wrist. "Izzy and you are going to be parabatai?!" They asked in sync

I grinned nodding my head as Izzy winked at me. "Hell yeah!" I said high fiving her.

"Can we get back to something that is actually important?" Clary snaps and I glared at her

"This is important to us so I suggest you keep your mouth shut. Mind you we wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for you not listening to anything anyone tells you" I said and she chuckled dryly

"Says the girl that hid what I was from me" she said and I shrugged. "It wouldn't change anything. You're clearly still not ready just like mom said" I said

"Oh you're just mad mom always loved me more than she ever loved you!" Clary said and that drew the line

I slapped her against the face. "How dare you?" I said coldly as Clary held her face in shock.

"From this day forward don't come to me for anything" I said as I turned around walking off

I heard footsteps come after me and an arm twist me around. Looking up I realized it was Alec

"El are you okay? Do you want to go get some ice cream?" He asks and I laughed softly as tears formed in my eyes

"I guess you know me too well" I said as I angrily wiped the tears away. "Sshhhhh don't cry" he whispers as he swipes his thumb under my eye wiping the tear away

He grabbed my hands gently placing a kiss on them as he looked at me worried. "Oh by the angel I can't do this right now. I'm sorry" I said as I pulled back and turned around

"Hey what's wrong?" Alec asks as he quickly moves in front of me. "I can't act as though I have no feelings for you Alec. Especially when you do things like that!" I said and he sighs

"El I'm sorry I didn't think you would react like this" he said and I frown as the tears flow freely

"Um can I just uh have a few minutes to myself?" I asked and he sighs. "Yeah sure" he said and I nodded gratefully as he walked back glancing at me with a worried expression

I sighed trying to control my breathing before deciding to go out for some fresh air

Taking my stele and seraph blade I hid them in my boot before walking out and down the steps of the institute glamouring myself beforehand

Looking around I watched everyone as I walked down the bust streets. I used to do this all the time when I would get angry with anyone

I looked up at the sky frowning. "By the angel this day can't get any worse" I said as the clouds seemed to turn a gray color

Walking faster I ignored the drops of water falling on my skin before it started pouring

It took me 15 minutes to arrive but I quickly went inside the apartment building and knocking on a specific door

"Oh darling you need vodka asap" Magnus says as he opened the door

"Wait a minute you slapped her?" Magnus said and I nodded taking a sip of the strong drink

It was probably my fourth one and I was now getting slightly tipsy. "Well she deserved it" I said and Magnus raised a brow

"And how about tall, dark, and handsome?" He asked taking a sip of his own drink
