Chapter 10- Better Together

Draco walked out of the bathroom and fixed his hair "alright Love, i'll be home soon" Draco said walking to Harry who was writing on his paper, he looked up and pouted "but Dray, where are you going?" He said and he shook his head "it's a  surprise baby, see you soon" he said, pecking Harry's lips making him smile "okay, see you soon" he said going back to his writing. He looked around the muggle shops and found a place 'Allan's Jewelry' he smiled and walked in.. the bell dinged and a Lady with red hair looked up "hi, welcome; what can i help you with?" she asked and Draco hummed, looking at the glass cabinet "can you show me all the promise rings?" he ask and she smiled, she walked to another cabinet and grabbed a large flat box and put it onto the counter, sliding it to him "are you looking for Male or Female rings?" she asked and he looked up "both- but both need to fit a male finger? if that makes sense" he said simply and she showed him the last 4 rows where beautiful rings were sat "ah the golden, diamond one" she said as she noticed Draco looking at it, on the inside it said 'Better Together'  it was a nice golden band with a silver Diamond in the center. There was one next to it; it was a silver with a golden diamond "i'll take these two" he said and she nodded, she put the box away and grabbed them from the glass cabinet below. She put them both in two separate black boxes and she sat them next to the Register. Draco slid down a bit and pulled out his Muggle card and looked at it "1400" she said and he looked up, he handed her the card and her brows went up in surprise as she scanned it "thank you" Draco said grabbing his card back, sliding it into his pocket.. he grabbed the small boxes and left.. he took the silver one out and slid it onto his finger and smiled. Tomorrow.

"Sweetheart, I'm home" Draco said pushing open the bedroom door and Harry looked up with a huge smile "hi baby" he said getting out of his chair and Draco put his hands on Harry's waist, pulling him closer "i missed you" he said as their noses touched and Harry giggled "I missed you too" he said, finishing by closing the very thin gap between them. They moved back and forth, slowly and passionately "1 year, tomorrow" Harry said against his lips and he smiled "yep, 1 year" Draco said almost out of breath, kissing Harry's lips softly "i love you beautiful" he said hotly against his lips and Harry giggled "i love you too baby" Draco pecked his lips once more and he took Harry's hand, bringing him to the bed.. he sat down and wanted Harry to sit next to him but instead Harry sat on his lap, he put his arms over Draco's shoulders and he smiled "this is even better" he smirked and Harry rested his head against Draco's glabella (the spot between your eye brows) and he smiled "i got everything for Hogwarts, i went to diagon alley" Harry said and Draco smiled "i forgot to go, i was busy looking at cute things" Draco said and Harry lightly kissed his nose and giggled "you're so beautiful" Draco said breathlessly and Harry blushed brightly.. Draco slid his hands into Harry's back pockets and he kissed his lips hotly, he gently brushed Harry's bottom lip with his tongue and he opened greatly, their tongues battled for dominance.. sliding against each other... they parted for air and laughed.. Harry hugged around Draco's neck "I can't believe you're mine" he said softly and Draco smiled "I can't believe it either" he said kissing the side of Harry's face..

They walked onto the train and into an empty compartment, they put their trunks up onto the racks and Draco bit his lip and put his hand in his back pocket "Harry.." he said slowly and he turned around, he slowly pulled the black box out and opened it "happy one year baby" He said and Harry clapped his hand over his mouth as happy tears hit his eyes, he looked up at Draco.. "Dray.." his word was muffled by his hand.. Draco bit his lip and then laughed when Harry hugged him around the neck "I love you" he said breathlessly and Harry pulled back and kissed his lips hotly "i love you too" Harry said and Draco smiled, he slid the ring onto Harry's finger and he kissed Draco hotly once more "Stop making out" Hermione said and the boys laughed against each other's lips.. Draco put his hands in Harry's back pockets and Harry's arms were around his neck, he lightly pecked Harry's lips making him smile up at him "happy one year love" Draco said and Harry smiled "happy one year" he replied back, lightly kissing him again "one year! already?" Hermione said and the boy's separated and nodded "wow- what'd you get each other?" she asked and Harry let go of Draco's neck and he removed his hands from his back pockets and showed Hermione his ring "so cute! does it have a message on the inside?" she asked and he slid it off and showed her "awe, you guys are better together" she said and they blushed "thanks" he said softly and the boys sat down "well Harry? did you get Draco something" she asked and he nodded "it's already at the school, it's a surprise" he whispered and Draco blushed.. he kept thinking what it could be.. a new fancy broom? a animal? jewelry? hair gel? a new comb? The possibilities are endless! if it was an animal Draco would want a cat, a nice white cat with long fur and pretty blue eyes, or green.. or he would want a dog, a small dog that would be a bit bigger than the pup but still small.. or he would want a ferret, he always thought they were cute. He smiled at a thought of a white ferret running around his feet and laying around his neck, over his shoulders "whatcha thinking about Love?" Harry said leaning on Draco and he laced his fingers with Harry's "ferrets" he said and Hermione laughed "what!" she laughed so hard, Harry was giggling too "he really likes ferrets, i agree. they are very cute, especially the white ones with the tiny noses... they're just so cute" he said and Draco giggled "thanks" he said kissing Harry's head softly and Hermione laughed. Ron came in soon after with Ginny behind him. They sat across from Harry and Draco, but Harry was sat up now so the two didn't get too suspicious.. well Ron knows but the boys don't know that he knows. "Wanna play 6 W's?" Hermione insisted and they all nodded in agreement..(6 W's is a game that i literally just made up, it's basically just someone asking 'W' [Who, When, Where, What, Why, and Will] questions and they have to answer it cause of the potion. I couldn't come up with a good name so.. i came up with 6 W's)  she giggled and stood up on the bench reaching her hand into her trunk and pulled out a vial of liquid.. she sat back down and popped the top off "drink" she said passing it around, after Ron it was passed to Draco.. he pressed it to his lips and took a small slip and handed it to Harry.. he smiled and took a sip.. Ginny was freaking out on the inside because Harry pressed his lips against it, she eagerly took it and drank it with a heavy sigh and gave it back to Hermione.. "the hair on your neck is standing up" Harry giggled softly as he looked at Draco's neck where a soft pink mark was left by him and he smirked "uh huh" he said softly and Harry giggled quietly. "Alright! who's going first?" she said and Ginny rose her hand "alright Gin" Ron said and she smiled "Harry; Would you date someone in this room?" she asked "yep" he said and Hermione hit Ron who was smirking "Hermione; would you break a school rule on your own accord?" Harry asked her and she laughed "No" she said and she smirked "Draco; will you and Harry be friends forever" she cooed and he blushed "of course" he said and Harry blushed but smiled up at him.. "Ron; Where did you have your first kiss?" Draco said and he laughed "come on! it was an Accident! it was in the back yard of the burrow, the twins and i were playing Quidditch and Fred and I crashed together" he said and everyone laughed.. "Ginny;  Where would you want your first kiss?" Ron said and she blushed "hmm.. under the stars maybe?" she said and Hermione giggled "Harry; What one word would you use to describe your favorite person" Ginny asked and he hummed "Beautiful" he said and Ginny blushed, so did Draco.. He looked down at the brunette boy and he smiled back up "Who would that be?" she asked and Harry blushed "someone who is my favorite person" he said and Hermione laughed "i think i know" Hermione said and Harry tapped her foot with his and shook his head. She smirked.. "I got one for Harry" Ron said and he looked at him with his eye brow up "Out of one of us.. Who would you spend the rest of your life with?" he asked and it went quiet, Harry bit his lip harshly and blushed deeply "Draco" he said and Draco's eyes went wide "really?" they all said at once, beside Hermione "i knew it- i mean.. Reaaaally?" she said with a laugh and Draco blushed deeply.. Harry put his arms around his waist and hugged Draco tightly "better together" Harry said softly and Draco hugged him "agreed" he said resting his head on Harry's. "this is a question for everyone" Hermione said with a smirk, "Who would you think is the best cuddle buddy?" she said and everyone laughed "probably Ron" she said and he blushed "I really don't cuddle with anyone.. but maybe Crookshanks i feel like she would be a great cuddle buddy" he said and Ginny smiled "i- probably Harry" Ginny said and he blushed "Draco's defiantly the best cuddle buddy" Harry said and Draco blushed "Who's the pillow?" Hermione said and Draco rose his hand "oooo Draco's the Pillow, didn't think that" Hermione said and Harry laughed "he's taller than me, and stronger so he's the easier pillow" Harry said leaning on Draco's arm.. Draco smiled and put his arm around Harry and gently ran his fingers through the ends of Harry's hair "my best cuddle buddy is Harry, he's the blanket" Draco said with a laughed and Hermione laughed "speaking of cuddling, i want to" Harry said and Draco laughed "deal" he said with a laugh and Draco leaned against the wall and pulled Harry between his legs making him giggle. Draco kept his arms around Harry's waist and Harry rested his head on Draco's chest and held Draco's hand.. his left hand in Draco's left hand "i love you" Draco said softly in Harry's ear making him blush "i love you too" he said looking up at him in a whisper "1 year" he said softly, gently brushing his nose against Harry's.. Ginny got up and left the compartment.. "1 year" Harry repeated and Draco gently brushed his lips over Harry's making him smiled "1 year aye?" Ron said with a smirk and Harry nodded, resting his head back down.. 

After the boys were asleep Hermione got up and pull out her camera.. she leaned over them and took a photo of their hands where the rings sat on their fingers. She smiled and let the photo develop "so adorable" she said rolling her wrist with the small Polaroid in her hand and smiled at the photo "these are their promise rings.. they say Better Together, Draco gave it to him this morning on the train. I walked in on them kissing" She said and Ron smiled "i predicted it" he said and she giggled "of course you did Ron" she said sitting down next to him "of course you did" she repeated smiling down at the photo "i want to do a photo shoot for them, and the friend group.. but mostly them" she said and he nodded "that would be nice" he said and she lightly leaned on him after putting the photo on the bench next to her with the camera the two fell asleep..

Harry smiled at the castle in front of him as he sat on the carriage.. "i can't wait to see my gift!" Draco said eagerly and Harry laughed "you will, soon love" Harry said, lightly kissing his cheek making him smile and blush. They stopped and got out and started walking to the castle.. 

Harry took Draco's hand and pulled him up the stairs, Draco was giggling "close your eyes! No peeking!" Harry giggled and Draco put his other hand over his eyes and laughed as they got to the top of the stairs and Harry pulled him to the Gryffindor common room door and he opened it.. "stand here, no peeking!" Harry giggled running up the stairs leaving the blonde at the entry way with his hands over his eyes.. Harry smiled and pushed open the boy's dorms and went to the small crate in the corner, he opened it and the small kitten opened one eye and meowed softly "hi Beautiful, ready to see daddy?" he said softly sticking his hands into the crate, pulling the kitten out into his arms.. Mcgonagall has been taking care of her for the day while she was here.. he walked out and slowly down the stairs "keep your eyes closed" he said with a giggle and he stood in front of Draco and reached his arms out with the small kitten and smiled "open" he said and Draco removed his hands and gasped "HARRY!" he said happily jumping up and back down "Oh my god!" he said grabbing the kitten in his hands and nuzzled his head against her and kissed her head "i love her!" she mewed happily "I love you baby, Happy 1 year" Harry said and he lightly kissed Draco making him smile brightly "i love you so much" He said and he held the soft kitten happily "I've known you wanted to start a family.. so... lets be this kind of dad first" Harry said softly, resting a hand on Draco's chest and he kissed the kitten's head making her mew happily "what should we name her?" he said and Harry gently pet her head "Princess" Harry said and Draco smiled "Princess" he repeated, smiling at the kitten.. "i love it" he said kissing Harry softly.. "i love you" he said kissing Harry's cheek softly and the Portrait opened "hey guys" Hermione said and Harry smirked "did you give it to him yet?" she asked, Draco kept his back to the door gently playing with the kitten in his arms, not even noticing she was there. Harry nodded "really!" she said walking over to Draco and she squealed "awe Harry! that's so sweet! she's beautiful!" she said happily and Harry smiled, "My beautiful babies" Harry said putting his arms around Draco's waist and lightly kissed his neck where a small mark already sat "lets sit down and let her play" Harry said softly and they went by the warm fire and sat down, Draco sat the small kitten down and pawed the soft carpet happily, Harry grabbed a small mouse toy he got for her and walked back down the stairs, sitting next to Draco.. he lightly jingled it in front of her and she pawed at it.. Harry giggled and let Draco do it.. he slowly dragged it and she followed it with her paws and chase it around making him laugh..
